Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

The restart won’t work. When I try to do it it only gives a solid line, no smiley face.

Because of this I can’t change my clock face yet in the app because it says my device isn’t connected. 😞

I had this same error.  The fitbit went dark even though it had 50% plus battery.  I charged it overnight, tried to reset and the screen would not come on, but I could tell it was working as the step alarms would go off.  Resetting the clock by choosing a new display worked for me.

Is it a specific clock face that triggers this to happen?

Change clock face that will help

Best Answer

This seems to be a very common issue. While plugged into the charger, press the indentation for about 8 secs, until you see a line starting to form, the a smiley. If that doesn't work, I understand that changing the clock face will restart the display. You can then change it back. Hope either of these help you.

I appreciate your help. After doing some troubleshooting with Fibit, they are sending me a replacement tracker.

Hi,

I recieved my charge 3 as a gift! So excited! I've had it almost a month now, and the screen has gone dark. Power cycling hasnt worked, its fully charged, and still seems to be tracking. There's no damage, so what can possibly be wrong?

It doesn’t work for everyone. My Fitbit didn’t allow me to change the clock face when the screen went out because it couldn’t connect to the Fitbit.

Changing the clock face fixed mine...I changed it to another face...everything came back, then changed face back to my first choice...All OK now.

I had the same problem as you. My screen was black no matter what I tried. After resetting, it still didn't work, so I went on with my day and came back a few minutes later. I tried it then, and the little smiley face icon popped up. I hope you find this helpful.
