Charge 3 display won't turn on

Hi my new charge 3 is blank and when I charge it and try to restart it using the side button it just vibrates with a blank screen.

Hi I put mine on charge and pressed the button at the side. A line appeared then a smiley face and it has worked sine. Mine was only 2 months old when it happened. Others have said changing the face can get it working again. Good luck x

Thanks for the "fix".  I changed the clock face and the Charge 3 "woke up".  Hope it stays awake

It might not. My Charge 3 has done it twice since November. These "fixes"
do work every time though, which is why I keep saying it is a software
issue.

All I did was go through my setup and changed the face configuration and so far it is working.Did you try that?

I have exactly the same problem with my new Charge 3. It ran out of charge and when I recharged it, all I am getting is a blank screen. Please help. This is very frustrating.

Hi try charging it and whilst on charge press the button. A line should appear followed by a smiley face. Mine worked after doing that. Good luck

Happened to me today:  screen would not come on via wrist movement, button press, tap, or plugging into charger.  Button presses would make it vibrate, and it vibrated when I got a text.

 

Several attempts of button holding off and on charger just gave me a couple vibrations, but eventually reset to happy face on the charger.  Battery at 83% so not that.

Mine works! I put it in charger and held side button for 8 seconds got the
smiley face and so far no problem. Thanks.

Hi there @pajijaWhen a tracker suffers damage while under warranty, you can contact Customer Support. Discounts and replacements depend on tracker model and other factors.

 

Additionally to this, I'd like to add that the warranty in most of the regions is only for 365 days. (In Europe due to the law, is extended for 2 years). This means that your tracker will be covered for a full year and during this period of time you can receive any replacement in case of a defect. But this warranty does not apply to that new tracker extending the time. The period of warranty would be only applicable on your original purchase until the 365 days have expired.

 

Also, if you received a replacement within the warranty (365 days) it does not mean it won't be valid after this. So, if your tracker fails again and your tracker is still between the time of the original warranty, you might be eligible for a replacement based on the resolution of our Support Team, this applies until the stipulated time of the warranty had expired.

Hey you @jaguar717, thanks for jumping in here and for restarting your Charge 3. Nice way to go! Since the restart did not work, but your tracker is still vibrating and syncing I'd recommend changing the current clock face. Let me know if this works for you!

I have the same issue.  My charge 3 screen went black.  It’s charge is at 93%.  It worked one minute and the next time I looked at it it’s not working.  Tried resting it.  Screen vibrates but has no display.  Very disappointed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  It’s only 4 months old.

Try changing your clock face…

While it is plugged in on the charger, hold down the side button for ten to
15 seconds. It should show a smiley face and then it will reboot. All
should be fine after that. If not, in the app, change the clock face. It
will take some time so be patient, but that should fix it as well.
Hopefully one of those two ways solves your problem.

Thanks. Re-setting the watch face, seems to have solved the problem. The screen now works as it should. Thank you for the advice.
