Thank you for the suggestion but I did that as well as all of the other troubleshooting steps and it still doesn't work.

I can't. The app will not connect to the Charge 3.

Wish that would work for me as well but nope, it didn’t. I tried several times

Clearly this charge 3 version is very faulty, they should all be replaced with one that works with no hiccups

You might need to call fitbit customer service and see if they can reset it, I had the same problem and they replaced it

Thank you. I did the same thing, and the Charge 3 would not work. They offered 25% off, but why would I want to purchase the same product when it obviously doesn't work. Plan to check out other options other than Fitbit.

that only vibrates with a blank screen and the reboot button in the app is not there, however changing the clock face worked but I would still like to reboot it to prevent the problem for a longer time. Why is the reboot button everyone online is telling me is in the app not existent?

Hello there,

I have an older fitbit3 so I don't have a reboot option in my app, it's on my fitbit.

The only way I can do a soft or hard reboot (either 8 seconds or 15 seconds) is on the actual fitbit3. I have to put mine in the charger (while the charger is plugged into the USB port) and there is a little indent on the left side of the fitbit3. I hold my thumbnail in that indent for either the 8 or 15 seconds and then I can usually feel a short vibration. Once it's finished rebooting I have a smiley face show on my fitbit3 dial.

I hope this helps and good luck!

I have the same charge 3 I changed USB ports after changing the clock face got the screen back and tried it again and it did the smiley face once and I kept trying that to see if it would reboot again because there should be no cool down to get it to reboot again and I cant make it reboot a second time doing exactly that on the indent

I have the same issue here.

Black screen, vibrates when i push the button.

No screen/green light.

Tried to restart as appears on forums.

Tried to let it finish the battery and charge again, but didn't help.

Would appreciate an assistance.

try changing the clock settings on you iPhone App, then placing watch on charger and rebooting your fitbit. That works for me. You also may need to sync you fitbit.

I found that just holding the button in om my Charge 3 causes a dotted line to slowly go across the screen. When it reaches the other side, the smiley face comes on! All fixed. By the way, it was plugged while I did this.

Thank you for your reply,
The sync doesn’t work too.
I tried to restart as appears in forums, but it didn’t help.
What do you mean, by changing clock settings?
I tried to sync on iPhone and on windows 10 laptop, with no result.

Evgeniy

Hi Evgeniy,

You have to change your clock face to one of the analog options. I have two on my fitbit. But, you have to go into the fitbit app on your phone in order to do so.

If you open up your app in the top left corner is your "profile". Tap on that and under "devices" you should see your Charge3. Tap on that and it will open up and one of the option boxes should be clock faces. If you select an analog face and then go through the charging and 15 second hard reboot you might have your display back again. This works for most people, sadly not me and my fitbit3 is too old and out of warranty so I need to replace it, they won't send a new one. If this doesn't work I would use this link and contact customer support:

https://help.fitbit.com/

I went through a web chat with them and they sent me an offer to replace the fitbit with a 25% discount.

Good luck ~

While this has definitely worked for me in the past, it doesn't seem to help my current issues.

My Fitbit can sync

However, the display will not turn on and it doesn't vibrate. I've tried the solution above, and it doesn't seem to help

I have tried several restarts, short and long) changing clock faces, and it will still have bouts of out of control vibrating, unresponsive blank screen and the last time it got very hot to the touch and the battery totally drained.  I thought it had bricked for sure. will have to see if it is able to charge.  I am totally dissatisfied and have had this Charge 3 less then a year.
