Charge 3 not tracking sleep

On my wrist band the Fitbit charge 3 it says not tracking sleep. Why is this?

My Fitbit app records my sleep, but on my Charge 3 device it reports 'sleep not tracked'. I've tried switching sleep notifications off and on again on the app.

I get that sometimes, but I go to the app and save the sleep. It seems to push  it. Sometimes I  sync it againSent from my Galaxy Tab® S2

I got the same issue, my charge 3 always show sleep not tracked, but the Fitbit apps seems fine!

I’m having the exact same problem. Not a happy camper at all!! It’ll show up on syncing, which I have to manually do even though I have it set to sync all day, but then it disappears. What is that nonsense?! Please fix this!!!

I just upgraded from the Charge 2 to the 3 and my sleep sometimes shows up and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it shows up and then disappears. Very frustrated. If this is still an issue 8 months later, this is a HUGE problem. When is this going to be fixed?!

one of my kids was screwing around and set an alarm for 12:30 on my phone. But the volume was turned way down so my alarm went off all night long... I suspect it may have interfered with the Fitbit making it think that I was awake and using my phone maybe???

I have the same problem, works sometimes and not others. Have tried a restart. Also some days I’ve noticed just the sleep tracks for the wrong day. Did your charge 3 ever improve?

No. The charge 3 rarely provides reasonable sleep data. I have tried restarting, putting it on the other arm. Just decided I wasn't going to use it for sleep or steps. Pretty much it is a watch and an hourly reminder to get steps.

Yes, but now I can't wear my tracker because of osteo arthritis nd carpal
tunnel. Still walking though

No it has never shown me the sleep data on the device, it has only
displayed the data on the app

I've tried logging out and in , then re sync, if. That doesn't work i
reboot . Personally I don't think we should have to do all this.

Basically Fitbit can’t fix the issue but they refused to admit their failure! This is clearly a product failure!

My sleep has not been tracked for two weeks now. I only got my fit-bit at Christmas and was loving getting the sleep insights. I have tried everything that has been suggested including restarting and it still wont work.
