Bought my Fitbit Charge 3 on Saturday. Tracked my sleep first night, hasn’t since for last 3 nights. Have to keep putting it on charger and restarting. Few hours later it appears on watch and phone. Can’t keep doing this! Any ideas?

So the fit bit watch records your sleep but it doesn't display your
sleep... I think it should. But you can see the sleep information on your
fit bit dashboard on your smart phone, etc. It breaks down your sleep into
several types from being awake to deep sleep and REM and light sleep. Now
they also have fluctuations in oxygen levels.
All that won't fit on the watch screen.

Hi,
I’ve owned the watch for three years so I am very familiar with what it does and what it is supposed to do. My whole point is that it has never displayed sleep properly. After the last upgrade it changed again and after syncing showed sleep ‘score’ and data. Now that has stopped.
I just won’t ever buy from the company again.

Like you, since the latest upgrade the tracker has become virtually useless. No longer tracks sleep. The pulse rate is off by several beats when measured against more accurate devices. There is often a lag between steps taken and steps measured. If it can’t get the basic things, how are we trust the rest of the data? Like you, this is the last Fitbit product I will ever buy.

I came across this thread when my Charge 3 once again stopped tracking my sleep, having tried everything they suggested for you. It's clear that Fitbit doesn't care whether the products work or customers are happy. I'm finally ditching my Charge 3 and heading to Costco for an Apple Watch. Can't be any worse than this.

Hi Sarah,

I have no faith in the sleep tracker, and less in the rest of the “features”.  Just glad mine was a gift.
btw, there are super cheap watch bands on Amazon. Last place I’d buy one is this website.

cheers

My charge 3 is now indicating I need to purchase Fitbit Premium to see sleep score. What kind of BS is this?  When I bought the Charge 3 that was one of the selling points. If this is truly the case, see ya Fitbit.. There are other options out there!!!

and have had very poor support from fit bit my Versa 2 quit after 14 months
and they offered me a 30% discount on a new one. WELL the go on sale with a
bigger discount. I have a O2 monitor that I where to bed and a CPAP
machine and my 02 monitor is lookee tech it woks fine but company support
and warranty is very poor. Had sosmitic issues and again they want me to
pay $40 and shipping both ways for replacement.

At least they informed me you don't need premium but if this does not start working again.. Will be looking at options...

That’s surprising that they won’t show your sleep score because I have a
Fitbit charge 5 and I do not have the premium and it shows the sleep score
anyway. I don’t really want a sleep score I just want to see my sleep
recorded. The Fitbit program shows both.--

It worked up till Wednesday. Then the verbiage in app indicated you need
premium which Fitbit later said no I didn’t. So that’s good. It is 3 years
old so might be time for new one.

Do you like the charge 5?

yes. I like the Charge 5. Mostly I like the new bands I got with it.
They are so much better than the Charge 3 bands. It's designed
differently. The part that broke on the Charge 3 for me was the connection
to the band. Also this stays charged for a week! You have the same
website to track your sleep, etc as the Charge 3 - so that part won't
change.
