Charge 3 not tracking sleep

Bought my Fitbit Charge 3 on Saturday. Tracked my sleep first night, hasn’t since for last 3 nights. Have to keep putting it on charger and restarting. Few hours later it appears on watch and phone. Can’t keep doing this! Any ideas?

Late to the thread. The sleep tracking feature is the reason I bought the charge 3. I’m not a developer. I just want my money’s worth.

Once again....nothing works.

My cousin’s  sleep was not registering with her charge three, we deleted the app, and re-added her Fitbit. Still nothing. So last night we switched Fitbit’s and my sleep registered on her iPad. And her sleep did not register on mine. So it is not the Fitbit but the person we do not understand this. We kind of made it a joke but it is very puzzling.

Likely they are too busy working on the next Charge# to maintain the ones already sold.

I'm too g back to my charge 2.

Ha!

My daughter and I have the same model and she said it started tracking hers when she loosened the wristband.

I haven’t tried it yet. If you do, let us know how it goes.

I had tried that previously and it hasn’t worked. Funny enough though. I haven’t synced in a while. The watch still says sleep not tracked. I’ve been using it just to track my daily steps and heart rate during a workout. The other day I opened the Fitbit app and it started syncing. I noticed it actually has been tracking and recorded my sleep in the app over the last week and a half consistently. I haven’t really changed anything. I don’t take off my watch. Not sure if they fixed anything or something random. I’ll keep the community posted. If it works great if not, oh well. I’ll stay on the same plan to buy a different brand when it’s time to get a new one.

Sounds like the best choice

I have owned my charge 3 for two years and it used to say ‘sleep not tracked,’ but the info was available in the app. Now doesn’t even say ‘sleep not tracked.’  I have tried every fix but have given up. Will never buy anything else from this company.

Charge 4 is no better! Very disappointed with the sleep tracking. At least 2 nights a week it track 1-3 hours then stops.

Mine tracks but sometimes only a few hours through the night. Have to just roll with it.

My watch face is still black since I updated the firmware and I’m still waiting to hear back from their technical support...

Do you sync your fit bit with your phone every morning? It's not
automatic. You have to sync with your watch. There is also a setting for
what kind of sleeper you are.

Yes it syncs automatically and I have rebooted it multiple times. I even had it replaced and the new one still does the same thing, although not as frequently. The new one now has lines through the display but I don’t want all the hassle of getting this one replaced. I just won’t be getting another Charge again

Fitbit replaced my Charge 3 with no delay after it was bricked by an update! But it was still within the 2 year warranty period.  Never has it shown the sleep time on the Fitbit only in the app - that applies to both devices I've had.   Really when it fails next and if outside the warranty I'll return to my mechanical Rolex for the time and my smartphone to record my steps, running maps and sleep time.  That'll also save me having to charge 2 devices only the smartphone will need charging as the Rolex Daytona automatically winds itself up.

Thanks for your email. I hadn't even thought of asking them to replace it.

Isn't it bizarre how after not displaying the sleep time ever this morning it started to display it !  Maybe there was some divine intervention ?
