Charge 3 screen frozen

I was having an issue where my Charge 3 wouldn’t sync to my Galaxy S8 anymore and then suddenly today the screen froze. It is stuck on the number of floors. Plugging into charger and holding in button won’t restart it. Don’t know what happened or how to fix.

Changing the clock face worked! I tried the long-press restart first, and it didn't work. Then I tried the clock, and that did it, so thank you!

This use to happen with my Inspire HR. What worked for me was shutting the bluetooth off, go into settings> apps> Fitbit app...then click on force stop. Go and turn your bluetooth back on, and open up the fitbit app, and sync it.

Hi. I finally got it to sync, but now my text messages won't show on my Charge 3 even though I gave notifications on. Any help wealth that?

Have you tried to turn off the notifications off for a few minutes and then
turn it on again? It worked for me, so maybe it will work for you.

After much frustration and coming close to throwing my Charge 3 out, I decided to do one last thing...and success, I got the smiley face and the screen is back working and it's synching. 

 

I was using the charging cable plugged into my laptop. Wouldn't reset screen.

Then moved charging cable to desktop PC. Same problem. Nothing happening. Screen frozen so couldn't get four digit code. Then plugged it into wall socket...instantly worked, reset no problem. Worth a try if nothing else is working! 

 

Dissatisfied with how fickle Charge 3 is. My son got his Whoop strap a month before I got this and has not had any issues. I've had the frozen screen problem a few times in just three months.

I know the frustration in the frozen screen. If it keeps happening more than once, then you should call the Fitbit company and tell them. That's my best advice to you. Even the best gadgets have errors in them.

Hi - 

My Charge 3 keeps becoming completely unresponsive - black screen, unable to sync or charge, no vibration or indication when i press the button.

I have tried both the 8-second reboot, and the 15 second reboot. The 15 second reboot seems to work about half the time (I've tried it about 10 times) - but "normal operation" either doesnt return - I get to the smiley face stage and then it goes off again, or it starts up, but then goes unresponsive again a few seconds later - I usually don't even have enough time to put it back on my wrist.

 

Thoughts?

I've had that exact the thing happen to me. I couldn't fix it so I called
the Fitbit company. The lady was very nice and she replaced my old one with
a new one. I suggest you try to reach out to the company to help you. I
hope this was helpful to you. If not, then I am sorry.
