Charge 3 screen has a white line across the screen from left to right

I just received my tracker about an hour ago. I've turned it on and synced it and I've got a solid white line across the middle of the screen! Is there any way of fixing this or is it going to have to be sent back for replacement?

 

A reboot didn't help...

I have my charge 3 for two days now. The white line appears yesterday and still stay after long reboot as suggested. Was told it’s a defective unit and requires replacement. Other than that, it works fine. I have request for replacement and I hope it works well.

I also have a white line accross the screen of my brand new charge3 😞

Was a gift, so my husband is going to request a replacement. Hope this gets sorted generally tho as seems very common. Not quite what one expects from the leading brand of fitness trackers tbh...

Hi i have the same problem but two times the bigger. 

Before i send this message I've tried everything that you said in other post to fix the problem but non of it work. 

I don't mind sending my fitbite charger 3 somewhere to get it fix

I have just received a replacement tracker through the post. Literally just opened it set it up etc. And I have a white line across the screen! Annoying is an understatement.. can anyone help ?BC6063A5-BEC9-428C-8720-A0C716C6502C.jpeg

Don’t worry, that’s just a software update. Your new tracker needs to get ‘up to speed’ as it were!

I tried all the recommendations. None worked, so got a replacement in the end. It's a really common fault by the sounds of it

Really annoying. The next one that arrives will be my second replacement. Had quite a few Fitbit’s before the charge 3 never faulted. This model seems to have quite a few ongoing faults.

Please stop telling people this is caused by an update being done.  It is not.  Read the literally 300+ posts here.  This is a defect.  My wife is on her 2nd replacement from support. If this one fails to I'm going to demand a refund and go buy an actually reliable product.

I got a new one with no line. I then did the update then the line appeared.
So it’s software based. There were other instructions related to doing a
reset that fixed the issue for me.

Just got the Fitbit that I bought my hubby direct from Fitbit after much delayed, logistic issue apparently.  We're now experiencing the same white line issue. Use both iPad and Sony phone tried to reset and update and still won't work. We've done all the reset etc. This is beyond frustrating!

No ....Had to be replaced. Don't waste time on the forum reading other
peoples posts. You will end up with online chat getting it replaced anyway.

Hiya, tried all forum troubleshooting tips about 3 times over 🤔. Then went online live chat with a Fitbit representative they asked a few questions get you to repeat a few steps you may have already tried. They then agreed to replace for a 3rd time. There was a little delay in receiving it however, I wasn’t bothered waiting aslong as it worked this time. And I’v set it up, no line fault at all. 

So my advice got straight to live chat to avoid delays. Hope that helps

I am also having the same problem it started about the 2 weeks ago when the new update came out have restarted and rest watch and app still luck

Mine had this issue starting around 8 pm last night. I had used it for 3 days so it was very new, no damage. I learned there had been an Apple IOS update. Got the update last night. The line was still there this morning. Tried deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting to Bluetooth. Line was still there after doing that early this morning; still there at 8:30 am. At 10 am I looked down and the line was gone. I assume it was Fitbit’s software update in reaction to Apple’s software update. Ultimately what worked was just waiting it out.

With Apple it can take 12 hours, FYI. The line eventually just went away many hours later, the next day...
