This Fitbit Charge 3 that I have is not responding. I was wearing it and I went to look at the time, and the screen was just black. The screen is completely black, but I know it's on because there is a flashing green light at the bottom and when I plug it in to charge it vibrates. Everything is on, but the screen is completely black. I've tried pressing and holding the button on the side while it's plugged in, but that doesn't work either. Any advice as to what I should do?

Susan, I posted this a while ago and hope it helps.
Here's what worked for me: I plugged the Charge 3 into a Windows 10 USB port using the Charge 3 USB charger. I held the Charge 3 display button down until the display showed the smiley face and I was set to go. That's all it took for mine to come back to life.

My Fitbit charge 3 face stopped working while I was trying to charge it. I followed the directions about plugging it in to the charger and holding down the side button for 12 seconds the taking it out of the charger, etc. but nothing happens. The back green light goes on and it pulses when I press the side button but still no display.
Is is there a place I can bring it to get it fixed.

Hi,
I am experiencing the same blank screen. In my case my fitbit watch is not on.
It started vibrating for long as I was wearing it so I pressed the button on the sie and it went blank for a second before coming on. It was shwoing me the alert and alarm functions.
I clicked back to home screen. and plugged it to charge.and after an hour I checked. It is now blank and jujst dead.

@LizzyFitbitThanks and apologies for the late response. I actually let the watch be, after my last post.
After about three days I picked it up and and it came on instantly but the date and time were reading two/three days late. I then tried to perform a sync but it always gives me a hard time before my laptop detects the watch via the fitbit dashboard.
Anyway it finally connected and I got an update notification which I accepted and left the device to complete the update.
Ever since I have been experiencing low battery issues. I will charge it and before the day is over I will notice a battery low notification.
Last night I plugged it to charge and left up till an hour ago, which is about 12noon my time. Hopefully it has charged fully.
I will keep you posted on any developments.

@Obi-User, I'm just glad that your Charge 3's screen was able to turn on. I'm sorry about the battery issues, let's work on this together. Please make sure your device is properly connected in the charging cradle and try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger. You can also check this help article for tips to improve the battery life.

This happens to me about once a month, it's very annoying! It happened today but unfortunately i did not have a charger handy to do the full reset and needed it to start an exercise track. I tried syncing it with my phone and that restarted the display for me. By the look of some other posts though, this mightn't always work!
1. Sync with FitBit app. (make sure it says sync a moment ago)
2. Click side button and it should wake.
