I've had my Charge 3 a little over a month. Last night my screen went blank. It was at 100% battery. It is still syncing with the app so I can see that it is still tracking my steps and sleep, etc. When I tried to restart it by placing it on the charger and holding down the side button for 8 secs. When I hold the button down it does a very quick pulse vibe about 4 times and then nothing. I've tried holding it longer than 8 secs also and still nothing. Very frustrated to be having this issue with a brand new product. Contemplating returning the one I bought my husband for Christmas and returning mine as well if not resolved immediately.

I called customer service and they walked me through a reboot, which did not work. Luckily, my charge 3 was still under warranty. A new one should arrive in 5-7 days.

Mine went entirely blank. No pulse, no charge, no signs of life. It wanted a firmware update but would not pair on bluetooth. I left it charging on its base, near my phone, and was about ready to throw it away when I got the smiley face. Still nothing. So I left it there overnight. Turned the phone, wifi, and bluetooth off and on, repeatedly...and when I picked it up today to toss it in the garbage, it actually vibrated. This morning it paired with bluetooth and my iphone accepted the firmware update.
Even though it now appears to work, this experience makes me skeptical and less than happy. They do need to fix the kinks...or lose customers to competing products.

I've tried all of the steps to get the screen back up, but as soon as I remove it from the charger the screen immediately goes black again.

Hi Gabi24, I too am disappointed in Fitbit product and support. Or your unit is still under warranty, return for a new one. If not, they’ll provide you with a 25% discount towards your next purchase. This can’t be used outside of Fitbit web link so the savings will be from their premium price unlike from amazon, etc. Good luck.

can no longer read my Charge 3 screen. The instructions to resolve the issue does not work. Can I replace the battery? I only got it a year ago, and now I can’t use it. Lot of money for only a year of use. Very disappointed.

I also have a blank screen on my Charge 3, and my data is still showing in the app. Initially I couldn't get the device to charge (no battery icon appeared), then later it did start charging but the only way I can get something to show on the screen is to double tap it. (Sometimes even that doesn't work and I have to push the button.) When the display does appear it is faded and grey with white lines running down it. Any ideas? (I have done the resetting idea and changing the clock face idea.)

I’m having issues with my fitbit3. Purchased at the beginning of last year and for the last couple of months the screen has been going fuzzy and now completely blank. Tried many many times to reboot and troubleshoot but nothing. No screen but it’s still recording on the app. Reluctant to purchase a new one looking at all the problems they’re obviously having with the screen as this is obviously not a one off. Wondering if it’s not water tight as mentioned as I do swim but only just started. Ummmm

I simply held the button while counting slowly to 20 then the face came back on.

Thank you unfortunately that didn’t work with mine. They’ve now replaced as it was defective.

I have the blank screen issue, too. I have followed the procedures outlined several times (putting it on the charger, holding the button for 15 seconds, etc) have also tried changing the clock face as was recommended in another forum.
The screen is still blank. I noticed this evening, that I could see the screen very dimly (not bright enough to use) for a second.
any more suggestions?

That was the case with mine too, it was getting dim. It was past the warrantee, so I disassembled it for fun and saw that it was a defective cable to the display. Hopefully yours is still in warrantee, and if so, call and get it replaced. There seems to have been a bad batch of these.

No sounds like you’ve done it all. I contacted customer support and they’ve replaced mine as it was defective. I’m back up and running now. Hope you get yours sorted soon.
