Charge 3 will not pair with device

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought my Fitbit in July this year and it was working fine, but in the last week it stopped syncing and the time is getting further behind throughout the day. I unpaired the device and have tried to pair it again it finds my device but then I just get a notification saying it wasn't working

I have tried everything, turning bluetooth off and on, restarting my phone, checking the app is up to date, uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Rebooted the charge 3

I have not cleared my data losing a few days worth.

What else can I do to fix this

@Sunni2332

Let me help you with your Charge 3 not syncing with your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you clear the connection between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Have restarted both my phone and my Fitbit

Location devices are on and Fitbit has permissions but it hasn't worked

Having the same problem. Given my fitbit for my birthday in June this year. Not happy that it has a fault. Tried everything that Sunni2332 was told to do with no luck. What do we do now?

Same issue here....it had been working fine and then last Monday just stopped. I cannot pair the device to my phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and restarted everything several times...no luck. It will just not pair to my phone anymore.

I phoned up today and the guy asked me to erase the data. This option is
above the reboot option. Maybe try that as mines has now paired with my
phone.

My Charge 3 hasn't been getting ANY notifications since the Fitbit app updated was updated, last week. The only evident interaction with the app now is with counting my steps. Texts, email, calls, and social media activities aren't sending notifications to the Charge 3. And yes, all of my other Bluetooth devices are working fine. I blame the Fitbit app for this issue.

Im having the same problem......I have been told that my phone is now considered too old and I will need to update my phone (ie buy a new phone) - it is only 2 years old. Is it true that during a recent update, certain phones became uncompatible with both the app and the tracker even though the app still works fine on the phone???

@Tazzey

I ended up going through the live chat on fitbit support. Maybe check with them?

They checked that my phone was up to date. My phone is around 2 years old also (HUAWEI P smart). They also took me through all the troubleshooting steps again. They now are sending me a new watch as mine is still under warranty. Had it less than 5 months which is a bit annoying.

I also queried Fitbit via Twitter. I got an answer that was helpful. My
Charge 3 is receiving notifications, again.

Hi, I wasn't told that when I phoned them the other day. The guy told to
clear all data and start from scratch..... Uninstall then re install app
and go from there. Hope this helps.... Oh... My phone is more than 2 years
old.
