Charge 3 won't sync

Thank you

Just to be clear then:

Syncing to iPhone only for several weeks will NOT retain all detail data -
unless iPhone is connected to the cloud for uploading periodically?

If that is correct, then how long can just the FG be synced to iPhone w/o
uploading and still retain detail data?

Hope I'm being clear.

Thx again.

A happy Charge 3 owner.

You won't be able to sync at all without internet (cloud) access.

I did a sync through my cellphone while my charge 3 was charging. The response time to sync and display my yesterday stats was improvef ... But!  - I lost my clock face (WTF?) so I put the Charge 3 back on the charger cable and then set a new clock face on the 3. Seems to be fixed now and the sync is still improved

My progress was entirely unsuccessful. After researching on www.fitbit.com and www.bluetooth.com I could find no encouraging reference to my smartphone. Bluetooth's list of Samsung products - 9 pages of small print - does not include my phone model, sm g381f. Faced with the possibility of changing my my mobile, I returned the Charge 3 to the seller who politely asked me to demonstrate the failure. This done, they refunded the purchase price and wished me well. My damaged Charge 2 will have to do until I need a new phone, when I will check the websites before purchase.

I'm glad to know you guys read these comments because since I got my device
a month ago I've had to reset it at least once a week to get it to sync. I
don't understand how this hasn't been resolved by now.

Am I going to lose the past 2 days of steps if unpaired and add new device again?

This is not a real solution. Why is Fitbit not responding to so many people having issues with syncing etc. after the firmware update? This is absolutely ridiculous. I've had a variety of Fitbits over the years and luckily have had no issues until the Charge 3. I think if I had had issues sooner I would never have come back to using a Fitbit again.

I am having many issues after the firmware update which include:

  • many problems with syncing
  • step discrepancy between the fitbit and the app even when, after hours, it 'syncs'
  • heart rate not recording
  • sleep not recording
  • after starting exercise session manually, it appears to end the exercise without my prompting
  • exercise short cuts showing only run and then all of the rest are pilates instead of how I have them set up in the app (workout, swim, bike etc.)
  • screen not turning on when pushing the side button

Spent more than an hour the other night with online help doing all of the resets, restarts, removing app, replacing app, turning off blue tooth, turning on blue tooth, turning the phone off and back on again. Was told the issue would be escalated and that I would receive and email. So far no email.

This Fitbit worked PERFECTLY out of the box for more than a week. After the firmware update all hell broke loose! I'm hoping that Fitbit is working on a solution to this as I love the Charge 3 and do not want to have to go back to the Charge 2

Sent mine back after wasting many hours with no luck. Old Fitbit one still
works fine. Terrible customer experience

I think I am going to have to send mine back also...it only syncs maybe 1 time a day. ..does anyone know if they are going to get it together with the galaxy note 9. I did get an update on the Fitbit charge 3 but it still does not help with it syncing to the Note 9!!!Sent via the Samsung Galaxy Note9, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

I had the same issue with my Note 9. Set it up yesterday, everything was fine, then wouldn't sync again last night or today. Read thru all the solutions and thought I'd try to just restart my phone before losing all the data from my Fitbit. Well as soon as I restarted my phone and opened my Fitbit app it had synced on its own and all data was intact! Try that before disconnecting your Charge 3 and then reconnecting, which drops all your data. Good luck!

How long is it going to take for the Galaxy Note 9 to work properly with the Charge 3? Are they working on

this issue so that those of us that have the Note 9 will be able to use it? Thank you for your assistance in

this issue.

I am having the same problem as everyone.

I specially relate with mammbs comment.

After the firmware update I started having several issues including:

- problems with syncing

- heart rate not recording

- exercise session stops automatically

- exercise shortcuts are different from the ones I had before and the ones on the app

- syncing only the steps and not sleep or exercise or heart rate.

I tried following all the steps to fix this including:

- Turning On/Off the Bluetooth and phone

- Unpairing tracker from phone and pairing it using the app

- Removing the tracker from the app and pairing it again

- rebooting the tracker and the phone

- Re-installing the app

My situation now became worse because I cannot even get my tracker on the app. It gets me until the step I have to add the pin (so it recognizes the device) to pair and after that it does not find the tracker anymore. I would like to have an urgent and immediate solution to not lose any data that is stored on the tracker. I only have the tracker for 3 weeks so I can still consider change it by another one or just return it but I very much like it and I would rather not go through that solution.

Thank you all,

João
