Every day, I have to remove my Charge 3 device and try to pair it back to my PC (I don't have a smart phone). After an hour of trying nightly and many 4 digit codes, it finally syncs only steps. During that time, a circle with an "x" will appear on my watch window on occasion which I think means it is not talking to fitbit.com. I can't find anyone else with this issue. When I asked a rep on the phone about it, the question was ignored. I am not sure I want a device that means I have to restart my computer, remove the device and repair it daily taking one hour nightly of my time only to sync and get steps and a BMI calorie count. Thoughts?

Solution does not work. I have not been able to sync with my computer for months. And now with the new app update, I cannot sync with my iPad. This used to be a caring company that took care of issues promptly. But now all I get a canned answers and no help.

I moved on long ago. So disappointed, as I really liked FitBit. They sold us an unfinished product with the Charge 3, admitted to it, yet said they would not accept returns. I have never seen such blatantly poor customer service. I still have all the emails where I tried to work with them and where they admitted selling a defective device. I now own a Samsung Active Watch. I have had it for six months and have never had a problem. Good luck to the rest of you.

Do you actually have a Charge3 or are you referring to other FitBit products? The two I purchased, and the one replacement, only come with a strap and a charging cable. While the charging cable is USB connected, it does not synch, only charge.

I do have a Charge 3 and the charger came with it. In the countless error messages I receive when trying to sync, remove and re-pair the device, I am informed that if I can't pair or sync, then I must plug the device into the charger. I am just doing what FB tells me.

I have to use my PC. I have been told by FB support to hold the button for 15 seconds. It did nothing. After many pairing attempts, I finally get a circle with a "check mark" then I know it is communicating with fitbit.com. I can't get a 4 digit code without that check mark on my watch.

My unit is under warrenty but they are refusing to send me a replacement. Wonder if the store I purchased it from will refund my money or give me a replacement. Going to check. But, a new unit may not sync up because it just my be a major software issue that Fitbit won't admit to.

Yea this is definitely still an ongoing issue. I've had issues with the Charge 3 since I first got it in January. I bought it for myself as a Christmas present and since April I started getting the lack screen hard reset issue about once a month. Then I went swimming in July and water got to the battery and I had to get a replacement. Now for the past two weeks I keep getting the syncing issue. Followed all the instructions to hard reset, clear the cache, unpair the device, reinstall everything and re-register the device, Did all that. It worked for six days before it unpaired itself again. Just chatted with support and they basically told me "it synced 20 minutes ago." Cool it did but it synced incorrectly. The numbers aren't right. "You should update the app." Cool, I am, guarantee it won't fix the issue. Sounds like a major Fitbit software issue across the board. If this continues I'm going to start demanding a refund or discount for the newest model because if I'm going to get rid of this piece of whatever right now best believe I'm doing it before my year long warranty is up

This covers the IOS and Android systems but many of us use Windows based devices such as the SurfacePro6. We still have experienced the Non-Synch situation. Is there anything we can look forward to that will solve or prevent the problem?
