I am having issues with my Fitbit Charge, the screen won’t come on but there is a flashy green light and I tried to charge and the screen still won’t come on. Why is this happening? I haven’t even had this watch for a month, can you anyone assist?

For whatever reason I seem to have a 2 year warranty with mine and am
currently on my 4th watch! They send out reconditioned replacements and you
don’t get a new warranty. Would never buy directly from them again - had I
got it from a retailer I would have got a new replacement and warranty!
Don’t think they are waterproof and not fit for purpose. Forum is full of
the same issues.

Very interesting, it was never clear if my replacement was new! Considering
the first 2 only lasted about 4 months I gave 3 months to go on the third
replacement. I did swim every day and this was an excuse Fitbit used for
the failure of the first 2. Seeing that the specification claims waterproof
and you track swimming it is incongruous that water ingress caused the
failure. The numerous failures all with the same problem points more to a
design fault. In my opinion the model should be withdrawn and owners
refunded or provided with an alternate model. Little chance of this
happening!

I am not convinced the replacements are reconditioned units. I had two Charge HR replaced and two Charge 3 replaced. while that irritates me, they never requested the broken one to be returned. It seems they would not have any units to recondition.

They never requested the first one to be returned but the second I received
a return envelope and they only mailed the replacement on receipt of my non
functional watch!

I'd agree. My replacement Charge 3 was not a reconditioned model

I asked the question directly and they told me they were reconditioned.
Guess the get the retail ones back!

I have repeatedly followed the steps (given in 'best answer') to get my Charge 3 turned on. I can get the smiley face or sometimes a white line, but the app can't find the device (Bluetooth is on). This started after the last recharge the night before last. I was unable to work with it yesterday. Last night it started making a noise that was loud enough (through my pillow=!?!?, not  otherwise) that I needed to remove it from my wrist. As far as I can see, the app is updated, but I have no idea if the device received updates. I don't know what else to do. Can't afford a new device at this time.

Contact Fitbit direct and if it is under warranty they should replace it,
or better still if you bought it from a retailer go back to them and they
should give you a new one.

Have you been swimming in it, have read comments from several people on
here who have had problems when using it for swimming.

If you get a Smily face have you tried to change the clock or a hard reset!
If nothing works and you are out of warranty welcome to the Fitbit bracelet
club!

It was Fitbit that told me replacements were reconditioned models! Retail watches presumably will be returned!

my first replacement never worked at all!

This is the second time this has happened to me and they have to send me a replacement.  Each time lasting less than a year!  I don’t understand why they can’t make a product to last longer. I’d rather pay more for a watch and know that it’s covered. 💀 So frustrated with this product

Lucky you still get replacements after a year, on my third within a year and believe I am out of warranty now! ☹️

What really annoys me is that you don’t get a new warranty, any other
product you would.

Welcome to the Charge 3 world. Doubt if you will get a refund but in
warranty you will get a refurbished unit!

Hello.. i’m having a problem with my device. After i washed it with water and left it overnight to dry it just went blank.. the button couldnt work. Even when i tried to restart, the smiley face comes on but the device refuses to start and keeps vibrating. This is frustrating as i am already on my second device. The first had lines across the width of the device.

Fitbit is a rip off I literally bought my Fitbit charge 3 5 hours ago and the screen won’t turn on but the button will vibrate SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

You have 2 options, try for a refund which they normally never do. Contact
your bank and try for a refund as the item did not function according to
specification as your replacement will not be new but a refurbished unit!
Unfortunately this is the situation with the Fitbit charge 3
