Charge 3 won't turn on

I am having issues with my Fitbit Charge, the screen won’t come on but there is a flashy green light and I tried to charge and the screen still won’t come on. Why is this happening? I haven’t even had this watch for a month, can you anyone assist?

If it just vibrates and has a black screen it's as dead as a dodo! Try for
a replacement, good luck!

my fitbit has a black screen, and when i restarted it it had a smiley face. when i unplugged it the screen went black again. when i went to change the clock face, it said “unable to connect to charge 3.” i charged it all night, so it shouldn’t be dead.

My fitbit goes black occasionally. I just hook it back up to the charger
and sometimes that works. Sometimes, I have to do it a couple of times or
hold the button in as I'm charging. There was on post on how to push the
buttons, but this has worked for me so far.

Mine as well i got it today and it doesn't vibrate or anything when i touch the side button thing mines a special edition if that makes a difference

Have you set up via your laptop yet? Once you have completed the setup and
done sync to your mobile it should work hopefully work! Strange Fitbit is
bringing out a Charge 4! Read the blog on issues with the Charge 3!

It doesn't show up that I have anything plugged into my laptop.

Have you tried a hard reset yet? Hold the button down till the watch
vibrates and smiley face appears. If this does not happen your watch is
dead and you need a replacement! Good luck!

Yeah i tryed it a few times but it wouldn't vibrate or anything so i guess
i got a defective unit.

Mines not working now either been this way since January but l lost a family member and now all this Pandemic thing have kept me busy elsewhere to get onto it.  Bought it as a gift for my wife and not impressed, i've tried the put it in the charge cradle and hold button for 8 / 15 seconds etc, it vibrates 7 times after a few seconds but the screen is and remains completely blank, no smiley face, nothing. I've had similar problems a few times over the first few months of owning it and the reset procedure would eventually work but no longer alas, what a waste of money! any new guidance please?

If you get no start with a soft or hard reset go for a replacement

Perfect FB are sending me a replacement unit I didn’t realise it was a two year warranty in the UK but I’m rather concerned about the product quality now having read this thread and many others across the net whilst trying to remedy the fault!

Take note you are getting a refurbished watch! I like many are on our 2nd
or 3rd replacement. Not sure if the new Charge 4 is supposed to remedy the
numerous issues with the Charge 3.

2nd or 3rd replacements??? Wow I don’t think I’d invest in a FB4 myself knowing that now, clearly some sort of design or software fault that they can’t remedy if it’s the dead screen issue over and over again.

Yeah thats what I read on somebody elses post. I just wanted a smaller
smartwatch/tracker than what I have now.

Hello

I have tried your suggestion for resetting my charge 3 as well as changing the clock face. However, when plugged into the power cable I don’t see the screen turned on with anything I do. Furthermore, the Bluetooth on my phone can’t detect the charge 3 device. The only thing is when the charge 3 is connected with the cable and I am pressing on both sides there is a vibration movement. Other than that I get no response from my charge 3. What should I do?

Unfortunately you have only one option left contact Fitbit and if still in
warranty they will replace with a refurbished one. My third watch in now
nearly 4 months old which is longer than the previous 2 😎😎

Does not work. Will not light up. Will not restart have tried over 10 times.
