Charge 4 not receiving text notifications

I just got the new Charge 4 yesterday. I set it up and synced it to my phone. It is not getting text notifications. I've tried rebooting it, turned on and off Bluetooth, made sure notifications are on in the app. Still nothing.

Found that needed to go into settings for the phone, Bluetooth, then select the “I” next to your charge 4 and make sure “share system notifications “ is turned on (maybe turn off and on again)

Same here, since the last update text and phone notifications do not come through, very frustrating!

Tried that and all of the recommendations here and in Fitbit support, no dice.

I just got my fitbit the other day and notifications/texts do not come thru.  I've tried everything suggested.  I have an android phone.

I had this same problem. After MUCH frustration and going through the troubleshooting list as recommended by the moderator, I discovered that when I set up my iPhone, I had unchecked the "Notification Center" option in Settings > Notifications > Messages. Once all three options (lock screen, notification center, and banners) were checked, AND previews were set to "always," I started receiving text notifications on my watch. Now I need a nap!

Thanks.  I have an Android.  Yesterday mucking around for an hour and trying everything listed in the forum. Nothing seemed to work.  Today I read your response and low and behold. I'm getting texts.  So thank you!

This worked for me, thank you! I didn’t have all 3 selected ( didn’t have the Notification Center selected, although I did have the Lock Screen and banners selected)

Hi sorry to learn of your problems, you are not alone, there's hundreds/thousands of us with same problem!!  I bought a new Charge4 as the Charge 3 was useless, turns out Fitbit have so many issues when they do an update it upsets the whole system! Since the recent update I get no notifications on my Charge 4, I have tried every possible thing but nothing works. I along with many others have had it with Fitbit, their support used to be good as you could live chat or email them but think they stopped this as so many people complain!! Useless customer service, I will never buy another Fitbit, total waste of money!!

Hello guys, thanks for your participation in the Forums.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this notifications issue. It's great to know that most of you aren't experiencing anymore. For the ones that keep having problems, I recommend taking a look at the help article: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? and make sure you have followed the steps provided there.

Have a good day!

Dear Alejandra and Fitbit team,

im sorry but your solutions doesn’t work at all.

I have an iPhone 11, latest ios

the only time it works wit receiving text messages is when I remove the charge 4 from the app and add it again.

then it works for a short while and then it stops receiving text messages!

I have followed all the “Bluetooth, dnd, notification” recommendations, but still the same problem. This problem is exactly the same for my wife.

please help, or is this solved in next app update.
Beat regards

None of that has worked for me. And it doesn’t look like it’s worked for “most”. So now what?

This effects me too. I followed the steps but apparently I don’t have the latest update for my Charge 4 - which I bought a week ago!

I have the latest update, I've reset the Fitbit, I have notifications on, I have "show all previews" checked.  The last notification of any kind that I received was on March 22.  This coincides when I updated the firmware.  Between not getting a sleep pattern anymore and no notifications, I'm ready to trash this Fitbit and look for a different tracker.

I had this issue but found out my device arrived already put into “sleep mode,” which meant all texts and calls were muted until it was switched off. I only noticed because the “raise to wake” feature was also not working for me and I thought I received a dud device because I still am learning the device and had no clue how to access the menu for these functions or how to work them. So just wanted to throw it out there as a possible solution for some 🤷‍:female_sign: Hope my misfortune helps someone lol

OH THANK GOD!!!! Didn't even realize I had turned mine on and I know it was working just two days ago. Check my settings and sure enough, it was on. Turned it off and BOOM, started working again. Thank you Oh Wise One!!!
