Device Longevity

Dear Fitbit,

Today my Carge 4 died, two years after my Charge 3 stopped working. I ordered a Charge 5 to replace it from Amazon, but that's not why I'm messaging you.

This will be the third fitbit tracker I have bought in 4 years. I have not bought these devices to keep up with the latest fitbit technology, but to replace devices that have had catastrophic failures and stopped working. I can't get more than a few years out of your devices.

I know this is not a warranty issue, and I love your trackers and app, but could you guys make these devices a little better?

Having to throw away a fitness tracker every two years is painful and not easy on my wallet. In my opinion a fitness tracker should last 4-5 years, just like a cell phone.

I'm excited to get my Charge 5 and hope it endures the test of time. I also hope you  with you will share this information with your team in hopes to improve device longevity.

Just a side note:  All of your Fitbit deaths might have been true deaths, but I also think some supposed device "deaths" are just when settings have gotten messed up, so users decide it is not working right anymore and figure it has just died.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
