I got my Fitbit Charge 2 for Christmas and I've loved it so far. One of my favorite features is getting my text messages and incoming phone calls sent directly to my Fitbit. About a month ago, those features stopped working when a message on the screen of my Fitbit said that Bluetooth was disconnected. I proceeded to try all the troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling the Fitbit app on my phone, restarting my phone, and restarting the Fitbit. That wound up making it worse, for when I reinstalled the Fitbit app, the Fitbit wouldn't sync with my app and I'd get the red battery sign with a slash through it at the top of the home page of the app. I then tried instead on my computer, installed the Fitbit application on my Macbook, and it says it can't connect to my Fitbit because my bluetooth on my computer isn't on. It clearly is because my wireless mouse and keyboard are connected. This is very frustrating considering that I already had to trade in for a new Charge 2 shortly after I first got it in December because the original one wouldn't go through the initial set-up process.

For the last 2 years, everytime I try to pair a new bluetooth device, my Charge 2 will show up on the list without fail. Until for the past week, it stopped syncing, and I also noticed it no longer shows up on the list of nearby bluetooth devices.
Tried some of the suggestions here, but what worked for me was to sync while charging. Hopefully will find a better solution so it can sync all day again.

This is not working for me, and I guess others too.
I suspect that the bluetooth in the fitbit is broken. More electronic waste.
