Hi Everyone,
Ive had my Fitbit Charge 3 for nearly a week now and was working fine up until last night.
When I woke up this morning the screen was not working and it wasn’t syncing with the app.
One the back of the device, there is a green and red light constantly flashing.
Ive tried pressing the side buttons and I have tried putting it on charge but neither are working.
Does anyone one have any tips on what to do?
Thanks

Hello,
My screeen was frozen on the time face, so I did hold the button for a few seconds that didn’t work at first. Then I had an idea to to hold the button while charging. After about 10 seconds of holding the button a happy face appeared. Then the Fitbit charge 3 reset.
Thanks for the suggestion

I thought my Fitbit Charge 3 was a goner until I read the article you recommended. It worked! I had to hold the reser button for 30 seconds not 8 like the article says...but it workedr

This was the first problem I have had with mine. Tried several other suggestions no luck. Hooking it to the charger and then holding the button for several seconds work$ as soon. As I let go of the button and poof, 😊 smiley face. Thank you mikl_pls!

My screen stopped working. Nothing in here helped. It was working but just the screen wasn't.
I logged into the device via phone and changed the clock on it. After changing the clock face it worked.
I suggest trying that.

Plug in to charge, then hold the side button for 8-10 seconds. Got the Smiley face, and it is working fine again. It had been charged somewhere between 85 and 90% when the screen stopped working. Sync, vibrate, everything else still worked fine.
This is the first time this has happened on my Fitbit after having it about 2 months and using it round the clock.

My screen is fixed.the display shows the time, pulse and an indication of the number of steps taken. This happened to my last Fitbit 3; the shop gave me a new one and now the same thing has happened.
Does anyone know what has gone wrong?

I tried to hold the button and that didn't work for me. So, I went into my Fitbit app on my phone and changed the watch face. Immediately it came back on. I then changed it back to what I had as a watch face and everything works great again.

Holding the side button for a length of time will not always return the screen display of the charge 3 unless the device is also in the charger cradle. Place the charge 3 into a plugged in charger cradle and then press and hold the side button for about 10 seconds until the smiley face comes on. After the smiley face comes on the screen should display normally.

I would call customer service. They were the ones help troubleshoot with mine that worked. They are also the ones who can issue you another one if nothing works.

Try going to your account on the app (top right), select charge 3, clock faces... then change to a different clock face than what you had. This worked for me. You can change it again afterwards.
