Fitbit Charge 3 - Screen Not Working

ANSWERED

Hi Everyone,

Ive had my Fitbit Charge 3 for nearly a week now and was working fine up until last night.

When I woke up this morning the screen was not working and it wasn’t syncing with the app.

One the back of the device, there is a green and red light constantly flashing.

Ive tried pressing the side buttons and I have tried putting it on charge but neither are working.

Does anyone one have any tips on what to do?

Thanks

To fix the issue of not having a working screen, put the charging cable on the unit, plug it in then hold the side button on the unit until you see the smiling face appear on the screen. Then unplug and you are good to go. My unit had the screen issue only twice thus far when I dropped it on the floor. Not sure if this is by design or what.

Since mine would still synch, and pressing the side still responded (vibration), I told the app on my phone to load a new watch face.   The phone communicated with the watch, and the upload bar did appear.  Then the face on the fitbit worked again!!!!

Hi Fitbit support team;

The reason I am writing this email is to tell the frustration I have with my fitbit charge 3. It seems this item is a defective product. I bought your product on December 16 2018 on Best Buy St Charles Rock Road St Louis Misouri. I need to know your returning policy because I want a replacement or my money back. I am willing to return the defective fitbit charge 3 because is not working.

Thanks......Alexander

I did some trouble shooting and what worked for me was going into my app and changing the clock face

While reading your post I was wondering if the screen is not working? If so, please try restarting your device or changing the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display.

Did you get your charge 3 working?

I just had this problem. I changed the clock face from the app and it started working.

Hi there, if the screen is black, put the Fitbit on charge, hold the side button on for about 12 seconds. Take it off charge then hold the side button on until the screen comes back on.  Then charge the Fitbit properly. You should see a smiley face, date and time and a low battery notice. Hope this helps.

I did
Put it on charging cable and then hold the button and the watch will initialize

While initializing you will see a line building across the screen and finally a smiley face. Keep the button pressed until the smiley face appears

All was working properly again

Thanks
