Fitbit Charge 3 - Screen Not Working

Hi Everyone,

 

Ive had my Fitbit Charge 3 for nearly a week now and was working fine up until last night.

 

When I woke up this morning the screen was not working and it wasn’t syncing with the app.

 

One the back of the device, there is a green and red light constantly flashing. 

 

Ive tried pressing the side buttons and I have tried putting it on charge but neither are working. 

 

Does anyone one have any tips on what to do?

My wife had purchased me the Fitbit Charge 3 this last holiday season which worked for under 2 months before pretty much dying. Last syncing was Feb. 25th and still won't sync, Bluetooth devices cannot find it, the almost permanent black screen with a smiley face here and there. I tried all the 

'so-called solutions" for several weeks before finally giving up.

 

After not wearing it for the past 6 months, the wife finally noticed and questioned why I haven't had it on, therefore I am back to trying "solutions" in hopes of a different result. I have been unable to get any result different than my prior attempts. Please help.

Fitbit Charge 3 have to be recall not working piece of **ahem**

I tried everything with no success. I now have a new watch which after a week is still working. My advise us to contact Fitbit and get a replacement

From the amount of failures with the Charge 3 there does seem to be an inherent issue with it. Not had a reply from the Support Team or the Development section of Fitbit when I made that comment.

Im facing the same problem.

I have put it on change and pressed the button. It's only buzzing with a green light on behind.

Please help

A well published workaround is to sync the fitbit to your phone. Then change the clock face - to anything. Sync again and the clock will return. Then sync again and set the clock back to the one you want.

Hi,

I have tried both the reset (while charging) and the change clock face suggestions, but neither has provided a resolution to the screen having lines on it and device therefore unusable

Are there any other options or what are the next steps for getting this fixed?

Any help appriciated

Go to your phone and set up your fit bit again. If that doesn’t work call customer service.

Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
  1. For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  2. For Charge 3—press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button.

Mine died today 1st November. Just a blank screen all day. I’ve tried all the suggestions and I can manage the smiling face but then it just goes blank again. 

Pretty frustrating. Not syncing or showing up in Bluetooth either. 

I’m on iOS

Try pressing the button for long. I think I had to press it for at least a minute, perhaps more. Good luck!

I have a Samsung A50. My screen does not work, but fit bit vibrates. Help me please! I have held side button for 21 seconds and still nothing. It was working fine before that.

Did you put it on the charger and hold the side button for 10 seconds. If that doesn’t work sometimes changing the clock face will get it going.

I've have had my Fitbit charge 3 for almost 2 years and it doesn't lite up anymore...no green light or sensors or LCD screen...only vibration I've tried every possible suggestion x5 times at least. Restarted it, factory reset, changing face clock and nothing worked....does the light bulb burn out cause I think that happened a couple weeks again it wasn't as s bright as normal? Someone please help my fitness is so off track now it been two weeks ...I just moved and can't really afford a new one right now?

Call customer service. You might need a replacement. Did you try giving a days rest before restarting it.
