Did you mean:

Fitbit app is unresponsive

The screen isn’t responding on any of the tiles. I get the heart rate for instance but it doesn’t respond to the touch when I look for the details

Do you really mean on the Charge 2, or are you talking talking about the Fitbit app?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for the question.  The app on my phone. The screen is frozen.  No tapping works.

It’s the I phone 11. It is as working perfectly until today.

Hi. I meant the Fitbit app itself. Thanks for the clarification. It’s been
fine. Today unresponsive. The screen. It’s actively tracking the data.

@Alway Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your unresponsive Fitbit app. Try force closing the app on your iPhone. If theissue persist then log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in.

@JohnnyRow thank you for your help in this thread.

Let me know how it goes.

Same has happened with me on more than one occasion recently & it’s always when I want to track a walk. It’s infuriating!

App opens, syncs but no tiles responsive. HR picked up too.

Have hard restarted it, restarted phone, app is up to date.

Just some days it doesn’t work at all. Any joy?

@Madameblanc Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Have you tried the suggestions I shared (logging out from the app, restarting your phone and logging back in, in that order)? You could try uninstalling the app, too just make sure to sync your tracker before you do this. If the issue persist could you share a screenshot and the information about the phone you have and OS version it has.

Keep me posted.

Hi,

I have the same issue. The tiles on my fitbit app on my iphone are not responsive to touch. It started today during a walk where my fitbit app stopped tracking the walk. I think this happened along the same time I started up google maps. My iphone is up to date and so is my app. I have quit the app, restarted my phone and opened the app again, but the app is still unresponsive. It is tracking my heart rate, steps, floors, etc but I can't click in to find any details.

Thank you

Hey there! I did manage to get mine working again & wish I’d known at the time.  I signed out of Fitbit on the app & re logged in & it seemed to work.

This was after multiple restarts of iPhone & Fitbit app. The only thing that did the trick was this - so next time just try signing out of the app & sign back in. 🙄

good luck x

Fitbit phone app. Change 3, iPhone 8.
In today screen touch does not respond to activity icons or + icons. Bottom menu bar OK.

Hi! Same thing happened to me with my Charge 2 today (again). I logged out of the app and logged back in and it started to work again. Hopefully this helps!

Hi, it’s not particularly satisfactory but logging out of the app & signing on again seems to fix it. Hope it helps

Same issue for me and also when tracking a walk.  Seems like the same issue appears at the same time for everyone - so that’s a real bug in the software.  The walk I just took wasn’t recorded.

I have the same issue, and it happens when I am walking and tracking my walk.  I lose my tracking information and the tiles become unresponsive.  Logging out and back in resolves the problem, but I shouldn't have to do this.  Even though this is a work around, I still lost 45 minutes of Exercise Activity.  Maybe another brand might be a better choice instead of FitBit.

i know one scenario when this happens. if you are actively using the app say to track exercise, e.g. running outside, and your battery dies or say you swipe Fitbit app up on an iphone to kill the app it crashes and locks the Fitbit app up, so when you restart the app, even after a phone reboot Fitbit app won’t let you use any logging related + icons like track exercise because there is a open log file in the app. other icons like community account still work coz they don’t rely on log file. i would say this is poor ios code but i let Fitbit developers work that out. just trying to help diagnose. logout and back in should fix the issue as account data is deleted on app including log file. Fitbit, if i’m right i’ll take a upgrade gift card as thx.

The app is freezing and crashing repeatedly. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it several times.
