Fitbit not connecting to bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my fb for a year...never had any issues. Today it is struggling to connect to Bluetooth. Earlier I plugged the fb into the charging cable and reset it, I then deleted and re added it t my Bluetooth settings...this was successful. However, a few hours later and it is no longer syncing again.

is the problem with my Fitbit or my phone (iPhone 6s).

thanks for any info

Welcome to the forums @Spitspot, it's nice to see you around! Thanks for already troubleshooting this syncing issue, nice way to go!

Syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement. Verify each requirement before moving on to the troubleshooting steps.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your iPhone or iPad.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it one more time.

Give this a shot and let me know how it goes!

It's actually the latest update that screwed up the bluetooth connectivity. I read the reviews and a lot of people have gone through all the recommended steps (including me) to help re-sync again. The problem is the recommended steps don't work either. I've gone through the whole turn bluetooth offand on/restart/force stop/etc and even that doesn't work.

You're not alone spitspot, the app crapped out ob me too after the last update

hi mine is no longer synching either = will not find it in bluetooth - anyone know if this is being resolved?

I can’t connect to my Fitbit. Have a new iPhone - connecting to AirPods and Bluetooth keyboard is not a Problem but the charge2 seems invisible from a Bluetooth Perspective.

Resetting the Charge2 SAYS 22.58.00

Any idea to solve this?

Mine just stopped connecting to Bluetooth yesterday. None of the recommended steps have solved the issue either. Very frustrating. Following this to hopefully hear of a fix soon.

Mine stopped working on Thursday 10/31. I've gone back and forth with Tech Support. They claim when the new app is released it will fix it. But I can't even get Fitbit (Charge 3) to be recognized by my iPhone, so how will an update to the app fit that?

My Fitbit Versa, have had for year and has not worked continuously at all.

All I keep doing is resetting it every day day after day

I’ve even gone to great expense in changing my Samsung mobile to an iPhone and still not working

I've just decided my Fitbit is dead at this point. Sucks because it worked perfectly fine before apples software update.

I tried all these suggestions but my Charge 3 still wouldn’t connect.  I finally had my phone ‘forget device’ and then reset my Fitbit up as a new device, and that finally worked.  Hope this helps others with the same problem.

I’ve tried everything, even setting up as new device. I set it up as new device on my iPad but it won’t find Bluetooth on my phone whatever I do - reset Fitbit, reset phone, turn everything off and on. Very frustrating

Have you tried going into your Bluetooth settings pressing forget device and then add your Fitbit on again?
