I’m having problems logging today’s food. When I log my breakfast, too many calories show in the dashboard, but there’s nothing actually displaying in the food log. Then when I add my lunch it again displays too many calories and bizarrely my log then says that I’ve eaten a kebab and an exotic pizza!! (I actually had cereal and a bacon roll). It’s only done this since the latest update (yesterday) and I’ve shut the app down and reopened, deleted the logs and tried again, but the same thing keeps happening.
Anyone got got any ideas?

Hello everyone! 🙂 Good to have you in the Fitbit Community Forums!
I'm very sorry about the issue you all were experiencing with the Food logging feature. As most of you already know, this is a known problem and we have just released an update to the Fitbit app for iOS, version 2.53.1 which we believe resolves the issues with food logging that have been reported. For more information on this, you can check the main thread here.

Best AnswerI’m having the same issue. If enough complaints go through, they’ll fix it. I have been logging my intake and the total count goes up but the listed food items do not show. And I can’t delete the items I already entered since they don’t populate in the meal section. I’m going to keep a pen and paper list and input when FitBit fixes it.
Having an issue where I choose my meal replacement shake and it comes up as Hamburger Sauce or something. And then pickles are coming up as Cheese Pizza. Hoping it’s fixed soon as tracking my calories on paper is a bit of a hassle during a my workday.
I have the same problem, which began yesterday. I added my wine, it showed up as dairy whipped topping, I added my coffee creamer, 70 calories, it showed up as jolly juice sweetzer, 96 calories. This is driving me crazy and I did notice the problems began after the automatic "cleanup" that they do every so often.
Same issue here. Entering in the exact food as yesterday, but coming up with something completely off the wall. Not sure what’s going on. Pretty frustrating. Not the greatest position for Fitbit when my Aria scale just quit on us and is just out of warranty, (2 yrs), and one of our watches is barely hanging on to a charge. Contemplating the Apple watch. 😕
I’ve had totally bizarre things showing on my food log today - congealed cranberries??
Like others it started after yesterday’s clean up. I hope it gets fixed soon.
I have been having similar issues with logging my food today. I will log it, certain items disappear but temporarily still show in calorie count and logging off, shutting down the app and even rebooting my phone haven’t resolved it. The other day my husband was having issues with steps. It would show his correct step count on his dashboard but would not update his position with friends.
I am having the same issues, I tried to track a cider yesterday and it came out as 2,000 calories worth of almonds, when I tried tracking other things, it changed it (some stuff it changed to things I have never eaten lol) and now today I tried tracking a few things and it would add it and then I would literally watch it disappear from my food log. My mom had the same issues. There was an app update yesterday so I think with the update, the food log bank got REALLY messed up somehow.
me too, just like everyone else it started after todays clean up - so annoying! No excuse for making such a complete mess of the app overnight - come on FitBit this is really bad - fix it as quickly as you messed it all up!
