I’m having problems logging today’s food. When I log my breakfast, too many calories show in the dashboard, but there’s nothing actually displaying in the food log. Then when I add my lunch it again displays too many calories and bizarrely my log then says that I’ve eaten a kebab and an exotic pizza!! (I actually had cereal and a bacon roll). It’s only done this since the latest update (yesterday) and I’ve shut the app down and reopened, deleted the logs and tried again, but the same thing keeps happening.
Anyone got got any ideas?

Yes, this problem is still ongoing. It's probably best to post comments in the main thread where fitbit are monitoring and providing updates.

As it says there, a temporary solution is to log food via fitbit.com
I noticed also that things started going a little "wonky" after the "hang on while we clean things up". I logged spring mix and it saved as pizza as well with 3 million calories. I hope they can resolve the issue soon.

Thanks. I might try that, but dozy question, will it wipe all historical data if I delete the app and reinstall? I’m just keen to keep my historical stuff. Thanks for any info on this.

For those posting in this thread recently and missed the earlier posts, fitbit are looking into this problem. When there is any news they will be posting it in the main thread for this problem at:
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Issues-with-food-input-on-iOS-2-53/td-p/2825777
Same problem here, I enter my custom breakfast of porridge, honey & black coffee for breakfast, I press save, it’s comes up then just as quickly disappears only to be placed by a Cheese Triangle?
If I delete the app and reload it will I lose three years data? Help!

Best AnswerI worried the same. If you register online you will see that all your data is registered there. The app is like a vehicle that carries it on your phone.
However I deleted the app then downloaded it again but it didn’t correct the fault, I’m afraid. Not keen on using the pc to enter data either as it seems a very long winded and frustrating option.

I'm not convinced those problems are related. Given the number of posts on this issue I would expect to see more if there were other symptoms.
You might do better to raise new threads if you are having issues other than food logging so they get the right amount of attention.
