How do I delete old notifications?

Everyday I get notifications telling me that either I need a certain amount of steps to reach my goal, or that I'm an over achiever with so many steps above my daily goal.  That's great, however I now have 198 notifications showing.  How can I delete all these older ones?  Thanks!

I wonder if the people at Fitbit even realize this is an issue, or even care.

Having same issue. Old notifications all have been read and yet it still says I have new ones. Also it won’t allow me to open to slide and delete and won’t allow me to drag from bottom to delete all.

please help !

Hey so I sent them a request to help most of the advice I had already tried. But I was able to get rid of the red dot finally. I deleted the app and then brought it back . When I signed in again it was gone. The notifications are there but at least the dot is gone!!!

No, they don’t...

Best Answer

They don’t drop off after 30 days. I have a message from June 2018.

Try deleting the app then reloading it. This cleared all the alerts but no the messages never delete.

This has been going on forever. I don't believe it will ever be resolved.

No, it won’t ever get fixed, and (to earlier comments) no, they don’t care.  See my earlier posts for clear demonstration of the latter.

This is thread is moving up on 2 years old, and the feature request that the mods kept steering us toward will be 3 years old this summer.   I still feel basically the same way: I understand that it’s a relatively minor bug, but it could have easily been addressed by now, or at least the company could have been open about it.  Instead, FitBit completely dodges the issue and ignores it. Their handling of the issue suggests a corporate culture of laziness, apethy toward customers and dishonesty, and frankly, I’m done. My Charge 2 has sat discharged in a drawer for months now.   I’ll eventually sell it and get a better product.

Is this message board closed now?  No activity in past 9 days.

Anyway, I am having the same problem deleting old notifications on my Ipad. Live chat with

Fitbit team support wasn’t helpful.

How do I get rid of old notifications I have not had any since June 2018

Best Answer

Mine are on there from May, that’s the last month that any has been updated but it keeps telling me i have notifications. Help! It’s driving me insane every time I open my app and have a red circle.

I know this is notifications drop off after 30 days, but I'm looking at notifications from September of 2016! Is there really no way to delete them off of the Fitbit Alta?
