Notification stuck and won't clear

Today I got a few WhatsApp notifications. Normally no problem, but right now the "clear" button does absolutely nothing. I've tried swiping the message every which way to no avail. It simply won't return to the clock face no matter what I do. Holding the button brings me to the settings menu, but even playing around with those does nothing.

I'm away all day with no option to grab the charging cradle and reset the device!! In the meantime the divice is absolutely useless to me. Extremely frustrating that there's no way to reset the device in the go, this is some seriously crappy anticipation in the design for a device which only needs to be charged every few days.

You saved my sanity!  The 3 button trick worked. My Fitbit was showing me old notifications from multiple sources over 3 or 4 days old and voila! Good to go! Thank you!

Thank you so much for this tip! Holding the three buttons until I saw the Fitbit sign worked to clear my calendar notification! It was driving me crazy!

This worked for me! I think the main problem was the clock face and the notifications. I was ready to take my Fitbit Charge 3 back to the store.

I've had the same problem for weeks. For me changing clock faces didn't work. The notification was still there and clearing it still didn't work. So I went into settings on my watch and pressed shutdown. When I turned my watch back on it had magically disappeared!
