Today I got a few WhatsApp notifications. Normally no problem, but right now the "clear" button does absolutely nothing. I've tried swiping the message every which way to no avail. It simply won't return to the clock face no matter what I do. Holding the button brings me to the settings menu, but even playing around with those does nothing.
I'm away all day with no option to grab the charging cradle and reset the device!! In the meantime the divice is absolutely useless to me. Extremely frustrating that there's no way to reset the device in the go, this is some seriously crappy anticipation in the design for a device which only needs to be charged every few days.

I had the same issue... notification stuck and can't clear it. I was able to get it cleared by going into the Fitbit app on my phone and changing the clock face. For whatever reason, that seems to have cleared it and I can now move around like normal on the device.

That's useful to know for the future! For some reason my issue resolved itself after a few hours, though I can't explain why or how (maybe new notifications cleared the old one away, though I can't be certain.)
The device still recorded all my activities throughout that day, including the two MTB sessions I had.

I was having the same problem and then eventually pressing the side button brought back the main screen. Super annoying - seems to be a glitch

I've got the same problem! Running on Android 8.
Will try changing the clock face.
Made no difference whatsoever.
WhatsApp notification still on phone even though I've deleted it from my phone!

I've sorted it now.
Deleted offending message from my phone (possibly not necessary) then turned my Fitbit off.
5 mins later I turned it back on, and hey presto, it was gone!
Hope it works for you too.

Awesome! I actually just held all 3 buttons until it gave me the Fitbit sign and it worked! I didn’t even need the charger to reset it.

I tried everything. I held the three buttons down until I got the Fitbit symbol and it worked. I’ve had a notification (Since Saturday) that wouldn’t clear. Thanks for the tip
