I was given a friend's Fitbit Charge 3 but they have forgotten the code so I can pair it with the app on my phone.How do I get the 4 digit code to do this? Thanks.

I'm having the same issue with the black scree my fitbit isnt even a year old. But the team says oh buy a new one we can give you 20% off!! Wow thanks so much!! Then disconnects me. Well if that's not a big **ahem** you from the team idk what is.

I am having the same issue, screen is blank will not reset, I attempted to uninstall but can't reconnect because the code won't show up on the display. Now I can't participate in my company's health program.

I do have a Fitbit account, am logged in, my personal details are showing, but I am at the 4 digit stage and do not have a code. Can't get past this step.

The screen came back after I let the battery completely die and then pulled it back into the charger. I still can't get the Fitbit to restart itself or install the firmware update but at least I can link it back to an account.

You could post the solutions on this page. Email to one person doesn't help the group. Several of these posts say that the pairing code is not unique. First my fitbit would not power on. I charged it, tilted my head sideways, got a smiley face. The fitbit did give a code. However, theme tips say to restart it. I restarted it. The face came up with the smile only. Would not show any other display. It recommended a soft restart. Now it will not give me the pin. I forgot what it was. I have charged, unplugged, plugged it in, and all I get is a smile. It will not pair.
Not helpful at all.

The above is a useless answer as the problem is that you need to see the pairing code but if the screen is black or blank how can you see the code?
Just over 1 year old out of warranty .. charge 3 looking like a useless product

i have thesame issue with my fitbit chargen 3... the app asking me a 4 digit code, but i cant see the code on my charge 3 because the display went of completely..... any advise?

i also cannot see my display since new firmware update, so i cannot see new code to try and reinstall the app and pair to my iPhone - have a race next weekend and now i am without a watch

Same problem, don't see the screen how can I enter the code. Just upgrade the tracker by request from Fitbit app, now totally dead and unpair 😞

The company could not issue a new code. I was given a replacement. I advised them that they need to create a generic pairing code. No matter how many times I removed and reinstalled the app, the code never came back. They said that the code is issued by the app itself.

I have had the same issue. My screen froze, I tried all the steps that are discussed by fitbit moderators in the forums and one was to unpair. So now I cannot re-pair because my screen is now black and I cannot see the code. May I suggest others with a frozen screen or black screen, do NOT unpair your device or you will have killed any chances of getting it working every again.
