Replacement screen for Charge 2

Cracked screen as well and same offer. Makes no sense to buy another with this flaw in design. Usually Fitbit had been helpful but not so with this issue. Silly me thought mine was a fluke now I see otherwise.

i do want to know if I can purchase a screen replacement.   My grandson believes he can install it if I could purchase one. I had called fitbit about my screen and gotten the same answer as far as it wasn’t covered after 365 days. Another answer I would like an answer to - is the new version three have the same screen?

There is no way to get a screen.

The new model has a different screen. But as every Fitbit product has
failed prematurely due to bad design choices, there is no reason to think
the new one won't fail in another area.

There is no replacement screen for the Charge 2 but, to say all FitBits have "failed" is quite a stretch of the truth. I've had my Charge 2 for well more than a year. I'm a construction worker and I've banged, smashed and hit the screen more times than I could count. I have many scratches on the screen but, no crack down the middle. Are all of those that have the crack useless or, do they work, but are just cracked? How many people have a cracked screen on their phone but are still using it? I don't hear the outrage about that.

If my cell phone screen spontaneously cracked from top to bottom while it was on the charger I would be extremely outraged.  These cracks are not from abuse. The screen is very durable. This issue here is a manufacturing defect. Either the screen is installed with too much pressure on the outer edges or it is the weird clamshell charger that is both heating the unit and putting pressure on the outer edges at the same time. 


Don't speak too soon!  Mine split at 19 months.


Any other manufacturer who knowingly has a defective product would take care of their customers and their business. Fitbit has not only decided to ignore all of their loyal customers but also continue to sell the defective product to other unsuspecting customers.

Yes mines cracked down centre  and still works but cant wear it out in rain  with fear of getting water in it. It doesn't always  track or map my run either. Its the fact that fitbit know there is an issue with charge 2  but have just taken our money with no after customer care. Its like well your out of warrenty so you have had your monies worth, Just buy another of our amazing watches.

I suspect it is an issue with the battery swelling with age and repeated recharging...would not recommend this company to anybody.

I not only called the company, i also sent an email to the ompany’s president. Needless to say, i haven't received a response. I didnt expectone so i am not surprised. Definitely purchasing an apple watch to replace my fitbit charge 2.

Fitbit is now dead to me.  No responses from messages sent to company executives describing this flawed product.

Am now the proud owner of an Amazfit.  Much cheaper and decent technology,  I'll continue to encourage people to never purchase a Fitbit product.

Does thst do the same as the fit bit in regards to mapping your run. Having said that my maps havent recorded last two runs. Absolutely  ridiculous . Cant rely on it at all

I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you have with the screen of your Charge 2 since is getting damaged. I can see that most of you are wondering if it is possible to replace it or repair it. Well, let me explain to you that it is not possible to repair the screen. In case that yours is scratched or something like that, our Support team can give you different options to get you back on track, everything depends on your warranty.

As i said in my posting. There is a design flaw. That is a corporate issue to correct. Your excuse is CRAP! Fix the design flaw! Dont wast my time offering me 25% off so i can purchase a flawed product; ie one that will statistically crack again. I didnt expect any useful follow up and just want to state that i me er received a response from the president of the company when i contacted him directly. Of course i wasnt surprised because poor customer service and poor products start at the top. Off to Apple to purchase my new watch!

Screens still cracking daily smh. Ironically all the same fracture line, shortly after the 12 month mark. Charge/Charge HR was redesigned due to faulty rubber and the Charge 2 clearly was a faulty design. Now "give us more money for the Charge 3!" Lol i must say my samsung watch is an amazing replacement. Highly recommended
