Screen keeps blinking from time to screen wake/notification

On yesterday I charge my watch as normal when I took it off the charger later that day I noticed the screen kept switching from screen wake notification to the time to blank and is continuous won't stop how do I correct this problem

Hi @Sonya66  Try restarting your Charge 3 several times. If that doesnt fix the issue, try a Long Restart. If you continue to have problems, please come back here.

Restart your tracker

 

CHARGE 3 LONG RESTART
Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen. Remove the device from the charging cable. Plug the device into the charging cable again. The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

Has this been fixed. I have run into this same problem since this morning! Last night, everytinhg was fine. This morning, it just keeps switching back nad forth between time and screenwake/notifications setting screen. 

Tried restarting using that "haptic' button, but that button does not respond to me.

Please help!!!

I’m having the same problem all of a sudden.  Why is my Fitbit 3 doing this??

Hello @Justmarezy ,

Try below steps which were shared with me by fitbit support center if your Charge3 keeps flickering between Notification setting and main screen. 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

My Fitbit is jumping from the time to the screen wake/notifications screen. I have set it up with the charger and held the button down until all the lines show up, unplug and plugged back in. It's still doing it.

My charge 3 is doing this now .. tried restarting with charge cable multiple times.. tried rebooting from the trackers setting menu as well ... nothing seems to work .. help!

My charge 3 is doing the same thing as of this afternoon. I've tried the suggestions and that hasn't worked.

Hello, I ended up calling Fitbit support and they shipped me a new unit (minus the band and charge cable). I still had a month left in my warranty period. They never gave me an explanation but it sounds like something that you cannot repair yourself via their reboot/reset process. They also told me to recycle the defective one .. they didn’t want it back.

Hi there, I'm experiencing this too with my fit bit charge 3.  I've tried restarting several times and has not fixed the problem.  How do I contact customer services?

Hey, go to the app on your phone, go to help and contact customer support and there's a number there to contact them. There's a couple of prompts and then it gets you right to a person.
