I have a Blaze and my sleep insights are working and I love this feature BUT my boyfriend has a Charge 2 and they are not showing for him, though he has the new update and the sleep insights option is marked as open. This topic was previously posted and then supposedly "solved" though it's obviously not resolved for many. I need to know if this is a bug that Fitbit is aware of and is fixing or if it's a device flaw. It's a great feature and it needs to be working for everyone.

If your not receiving sleep stages, i agree with @CMAP, lets update the app.
Now that the app is updated next time you dont see sleep stages you will see the reason for not seeing stages.
Let us know the reaaon and we can work off of this.
There is only a few requirements for sleep stages.
- Sleep for at least 3 hours
- Have the Heartrate enabled
- have a consistent Heartrate reading.
Things to try
- Change tightness of the band, try looser or tighter.
- Change heartrate to on
- Move band to the other arm so your not laying on it, if that is the case.Reason for no sleep stages
Sleep insights, there is a setting to turn these off

I have a new Charge 2 and the sleep stages were working just fine. Ran an update over the weekend and now the sleep stages are not being recorded. Tells me that maybe it is not reading my pulse while sleeping....but for two nights in a row. Don't think so. Sure wish I didn't update.

I had sleep 'benchmarks' for quite some time but not as of last night 09/04/17. Updated the app but that didn't change it. Benchmarks still shows for multiple past nights. Looks like I had it and then some Fitbit update took it away. Not good.

Got the new Alta HR a month ago. Sleep Insights was working great until last Thursday, 8/31, now it has reverted to sleep patterns. How can I fix this please?

I got my new Charge 2 on 8/1. From 8/1 to 8/27 I was receiving Sleep Insights 100% of the time. Then I upgraded on 8/27 and now I only receive Sleep Insights about 30% of the time. Whatever upgrade Fitbit made, it seems to have negatively impacted the Sleep Insight functionality.

Hi can you please clarify what I need to do to get my sleep insights back. I have a Charge 2 and they were there for 2 months but recently reverted back to the old sleep tracking I had with my previous FitBit. The comment says it is solved but I don’t see any solution. Thanks!

Hello @KarenH1 if your only seeing the basic sleep.
As mentioned above, with screen shots, your first step is to see what the app says about only seeing basic sleep. Requirements are for a consistent heart rate, so Fitbit can read the HRV and a 3 hour period of sleep.
As for sleep insights, do you have them turned on?
Tap the sleep tile in the Fitbit app then

@KarenH1 please see my post above of the screenshot of where the user may find the reason for no sleep stages displaying for the night.
I'll also point you to the Sleep FAQ.
What should I know about sleep stages?

Hi, I've been using the Charge 2 for 6 months now, but have yet to receive a single sleep insight. Sleep tracking including sleep stages and sleep plan works fine, and I have activated the "receive sleep insights" button. Other notifications from Fitbit work as well. What am I doing wrong?
