Last night, my fitbit got stuck with the dreaded "progress bar". That's been the only image on my Fitbit charge HR for almost 24 hours. I called to get help with this matter, and the bottom line is that this is a known issue with the firmware/software. That's it. Problem NOT solved and I'm stuck with a $150 hunk of junk. Anyone else having this issue?
I feel bad for the customer service people who are clearly following prompts and walk frustrated customers through a bunch of steps that end up not working. It's not their fault that the product is poorly made.

I have gone from loving this product to hating this product. Have had the half bar of death on my screen since last Wednesday. I'm on with customer support right now...they've had me log off from the app, restart my phone and reset my Fitbit...I've reset over 15 times and get the half bar every time. The person at customer support is not understanding my response...asking me if I am troubleshooting on my phone and if I have completed all of the steps, which I have and with no resolution.

I have now been on for 30-45 minutes. Can someone please help?

The band on my device started to bubbled then the progress bar of death appeared. All the day after year long manufactures warranty expired. I have attempted to restart it several times to no avail. There isn't anything customer service can do for me because I am "out of warranty."

This progress bar is being displayed because a firmware update has started. Restarting the device should reset the BY allowing the phone to connect and continue the uodate. However it will not remove the bar that is displaying how much of the update has been dienliaded.
So what we need to do is restart the update process again. If the bar increases than I would say keep trying.

I am having the same problem. I wouldn't pay a dollar for another one. What a disapointment and waste of money. I might try buying a garmin.

This happened to both my Charge HR and my wife's. Customer service said it is a known issue and that there is nothing they can do about it. Since both are out of warranty, they offered a 25% discount on a new tracker.even though their update caused the issue.

This just happened to me for the past couple of days. I have followed all steps posted on this board and then some. My charge HR is to the point that it now just has the progress bar all the time. When it finally dies, I plug it in - sometimes it will charge and sometimes not - as soon as it gets a little power back it goes straight back to the progress bar so I am unable to even reset it anymore.
Mine is just over its one year warranty, so I was also offered the 25% discount. I complained about that as this is a known issue that is not my fault and so the Supervisor is sending me a new Charge HR as an "exception" but no warranty will be applied to this one. So it is possible to get a new one for free as a replacement, but you get it without any kind of warranty...
...also, this is clearly an issue with their firmware and software more so than user error. I always watch the updates to make sure they complete. Mine was updated 2 weeks ago, and is just now having this issue when no updates have been attempted recently but this problem still appeared...

Hector...This did not get resolved. Worst consumer product I have ever owned with horrific customer care. There is a reason the Company's stock price has tanked so much.

Iskelley...The only comfort I can offer is that you have a lot of company. Produce failure and disappointment is only a matter of time. The "F" in fitbit is an appropriate grade for their product.
