Fitbit Inspire won't scroll

purchased fitbit inspire 3 weeks ago ~ screen won't scroll.  Only displays time.  No trauma to the unit at all.  Although it's supposed to be swim-friendly, I haven't gotten in the pool with it on, and I don't shower wearing it.  The book that came with the fitbit has absolutely no troubleshooting info.  Info online is sparse.  Can anyone help?  Since the screen won't scroll, I can't shut it off to try to reset it...

I am having the same issue. My Fitbit Inspire is only a few months old, but it recently no longer lets me scroll past the clock screen. I have tried resetting it a few times but nothing has changed. Please let me know what steps to take in order to fix it.

Hello Grossg1, resetting your Fitbit Inspire means to me that you connected
your watch to a charger in a wall outlet and held the button down until the
smiley face appeared. I have had a number of various issues with the
several Fitbit Inspires we own and seem to remember this issue happening
but not recently. Therefore because I have gone the route of even having
to re-setup my spouses Fitbit I truthfully don't know if doing the smiley
face reset solved the not scrolling issue or the more painful process of a
new setup. More recently my issue with one of the watches is the
connection to the Windows 10 computer. I have to go to settings and delete
the Inspire app in devices, resync doing the smiley face procedure and
starting my computer which has cured the immediate problem. Also please
check to see if you can scroll up rather than down like one usually does.
You may have gotten locked into the exercise or some other mode. This has
happen to me also and it takes a lot of patience to get the watch back on
track if this has happened. Sorry for the long post and good luck.

These instructions worked.  I plugged in my Inspire 2, held down the 2 buttons on the side down for 5 seconds, received the smiley face and it was working again.  Thanks for the advice.

Same thing for me.  I restarted over and over and did get the smiley face, but the screen still will not scroll.  Please what do I do next?  Thanks.

I tried resetting mine that was doing exactly this…now it just won’t come in at all! When I pinch the sides it vibrates, but the screen is black.
