The software update has turned out terrible for me. I wish I hadn't updated. The new layout is harder to read and navigate. I can't pick and choose which info I want on my dashboard, and worst of all IT WON'T SYNC WITH MY FITBIT. I am stuck

Hi @Laurabrownrosel. Try to do some troubleshooting:
See if any (or all) of that helps with the syncing.

I called Fitbit. I was told the update requires Android 10/11. I have 9. Suddenly my device would not sync Monday. I removed app and device from phone.. Restarted and then it wouldn't pair. I was told today to clear the user data on my Fitbit, because the reboot was not helping. I had reinstalled the app and finally it paired and synced. I'm just not sure not having the needed software will effect accuracy and useage.

Go to settings on the inspire, go to clear user data, tap on it. To get to settings, I scroll down from the clock screen. I am finding that I cannot sync but, it did pair the device. That means at least I can keep my steps and phone accurate on the inspire. Unfortunately, I cannot get to sync since my software on my cell won't update beyond 9. When I log in to the Fitbit website, sometimes it shows my steps.

As of today, I have given up hope my Fitbit will sync. I was incorrect earlier saying it synced. If I go to the main website it will show current steps in a sense synching. But...those steps definitely don't go to the app. I got 10000 steps yesterday, but because I didn't go to the site yesterday after getting those steps it doesn't reflect that in my step count. Therefore it is not truly reflecting my steps, but does show on my actual Fitbit.

Hi,
I have completed all your suggestions and I still can’t connect my inspire 2 to my iPhone. It times out and I get an abort message?

I tried your suggestion, but it didn't work for me. Thanks anyway.

Yes- do all of these steps, but do one additional thing that was the only way I could get it to sync again:
”Clear user data” in the Fitbit device “Settings” before you try reinstalling/resetting up everything.
Mine worked without the buggy error messages after I did that.
