Inspire HR display blinking

Hi, I had my Inspire HR just under a year when the display screen started blinking.  On... off.on...off.on...off on...  It's super annoying.  I searched these pages and saw advice for changing the clock face -- did that, still blinking; restarting it -- still blinking; letting the battery run down then fully charging it -- still.blinking.  Is there something else I can do?  Is there something else FITBIT can do?  I'd like to use this product; it's super annoying that I cannot.

Hi @Bexes, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To resolve this uncommon situation, I recommend you to try our restart process following the next steps:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

Let me know if the issue persists and if you have any additional questions.

I am also experiencing this same issue. I have tried the suggestion to plug it in and hold the button until it resets (a smiley face appears) and the issue still occurs. It started once I updated to the latest version of the iOS Fitbit app.

I just started having the same problem. I’ve tried the suggestions but they haven’t worked. After a while, it seemed to stop. I also noticed that it’s dying really quickly.

This happened to me too. I has to take the restart steps  described above, multiple times (x8 times I think); until it worked.

Thanks for the update. I've just tried the above steps 10 x and it's still doing it! I'm about to throw it out the window...

I only purchased mine in March 2020. I contacted Fitbit support and told them everything I'd done to try to fix it. In the end the replaced it for me. Maybe you should contact them 🙂

This has been frustrating to me because with all the blinking even in the middle of the night, it runs the battery down very quickly. After doing all the recommended reboots and fixes it’s been going on for weeks. I haven’t had mine for a full year. So I called to search for other remedies and they are sending a replacement Fitbit Inspire HR. Very pleased with the call to custom service.

My Fitbit is doing the same thing

Same with my Inspire. Mine is past the year unfortunately. So frustrating because it really is unusable. Offered a discount but I’ve had too many Fitbit products last just only slightly past the year that I will not keep trying. Which stinks because I like many of the features but the product itself just doesn’t seem to hold up.
