I recently purchased an inspire hr and for some reason am not receding text notifications. I receive notifications for phone calls, so I’m not quite sure what is going on. I already tried removing the inspire from my account and then re-adding it, I’ve reset the inspire, I have reset the notifications in the app, and I’ve restarted my iPhone. I also have selected all three alerts in my notification settings on my phone. Is there anything else I could try?

Neither can I it won’t give me text or calls.
It does not work for me. I think you might have to have data on your phone not just WiFi connectivity. I’ll trie again.

What method worked for you? I still can only get mine to work every once in a while.

The last time I logged on here I read that with our most recent software update (at the time) on our iPhones causes some kind of disconnection between texts on the Fitbit. I can’t still get calls. Still sync Facebook messenger and get all those notifications. Just not text. I even restarted my inspire and nothing yet.

So I kept reading why my text messages don’t show on my Fitbit inspire. FINALLY figured out my reason.
I did do a restart on my Fitbit by connecting to charger and holding button
But on my text message notification settings on my iPhone, I had previews set to NEVER. As soon as I turned to always on. My last text message came across on my fit bit. Woo hoo

MynInspire stopped sending text notifications in November. When iPhone first updated to OS 13. Calls come through but no texts. I have spent hours communicating with Fitbit and no one can fix it, they say they’re working in it but 5-6 months of being unable to upgrade their software for compatibility issues is ridiculous. They won’t replace my u it as they say a new one would have the same issues. BEYOND frustrated, having paid for something that doesn’t work.

I checked my notifications was already set to banners and notification centre and still not getting text messages on my inspire HR. So frustrating cos had since October and texts never work but everything else does including calls and what's app.
Got mine working now. In settings on show previews was on NEVER so changed to ALWAYS and I just text a friend and they replied and it came up on my Fitbit. So happy sorted it

Ok so in your Notification Center under your messages app.... not only does Notification Center have to be turned on but show previews also has to be on to always or when locked.
Try changing your notification setting. Where it says shows previews, it has to be on always or when locked. You won’t get texts on Fitbit if u have this on as never.

Make sure “all day sync” is turned on through the Fitbit app! That’s how I fixed mine

Thanks but NONE of that woks. Fitbit has not been able to correct their software since the iphone iOS 13 updates in November of 2019. It no longer is able to send text notifications, period. I've done everything, spent hours on chats with Fitbit and inevitably they tell me they're still working on it. SEVEN months later. Beyong frustrating.

Did not and has not worked for me. Trust me when I say, I have tried everything- EVERYTHING- multiple times, nothing works. Even tech support has told me to be patient. For 7 months. So no, it's not a universal fix.

iphone 7+. Notifications worked great, and then....they stopped about Feb or so. I didn't change any settings on the phone at all. Been thru multiple rounds with tech support. Mainly, they repeat the same things to try and....it does not work. One thing I found odd: tech repeatedly tells me to go to BLUETOOTH>INSPIRE HR, and select the small "i" at the end of the line beside "Inspire HR."
But there is no "i" there on mine. Every other bluetooth item has it. Inspire HR does not.
I relay this info to tech support.
3-4 days later I get "OK. Then try this: Go to BLUETOOTH>INSPIRE HR. See the little "i" at the end of the line? Touch that, and..."
Repeat. Wait 3-4 days for reply. Repeat. Wait 3-4 days for reply. Repeat. Same conversation over and over.

I think I figured out how to fix this on an android phone. I have an android phone and an Inspire HR fit bit. Here are the steps....
1. Open fit bit app
2. Choose your device
3. Click notifications
4. Click text messages (mine has 4 choices)
5. Click on anything that isn't messaging/texts (I choose messenger)
6. Go back to notifications and click on app notifications
7. Scroll down to messaging and click the box
8. Get out of the app and have someone text you and see if it works. It worked for me.
9. Thank Fit Bit for the help. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!

There is no fix. From my experience when iPhone updated their OS back in November 2019 Fitbit was unable to adapt. I spent 7-8 months back and forth IG with tech online, via phone, always the same issue, always the same language on their point. I believe they are aware that their Inspire HR no longer pairs w iPhones to deliver texts and will not come outright to say so; I asked for a replacement unit and only then did they say it won’t make a difference. I got a new unit and it still doesn’t pair to receive texts. It’s an internal issue on Fitbit’s end. Disappointing and the lack of transparency in acknowledging this issue is galling.
