Inspire HR not receiving text notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently purchased an inspire hr and for some reason am not receding text notifications. I receive notifications for phone calls, so I’m not quite sure what is going on. I already tried removing the inspire from my account and then re-adding it, I’ve reset the inspire, I have reset the notifications in the app, and I’ve restarted my iPhone. I also have selected all three alerts in my notification settings on my phone. Is there anything else I could try?

Here’s the odd thing:

I have a Blaze on the same iPhone 7+ with 13.5.1 IOS that my Inspire HR is on.

The Blaze, which has been discontinued by Fitbit, gets notifications just fine. The Inspire HR USED TO, but no longer does.

All of my emails from Fitbit support start with “click on the small “i” beside the watch in your bluetooth listing."

There is no “i” beside the watch listing. All my other bluetooth items have that “i”.

Even though to tell support this IN LARGE LETTERS in each and every email they send, they still start every response with that same instruction.

Good times as always, Fitbit. Such good times...

After 3 phone calls to customer service, still wasn’t getting text or call notifications on inspire hr. I uninstalled and re-installed the fit bit app and it worked.

I also have a Google Pixel. My Inspire HR was working just fine for the first two months and now I can't get it to sync my texts or calls either. I've tried everything. I'd go exchange it, except apparently that won't help. Booooo

The “delete and reinstall app” thing worked for you? I’ve got an iPhone 7+, running a Blaze and an Inspire HR on the same phone. Blaze gets text messages. Inspire HR used to, and no longer does. Deleted app. Reinstalled app. No change. Oddly, the small blue i to the right of the Inspire HR under Bluetooth (that’s there on every other Bluetooth item) is missing.

Really wish this worked for me.

It doesn't work. Tried everything, including the recommendations here.  How are you all resolving this glitch?

Same here!  And they keep saying it's on my end or giving me the same generic "fixes".  Looking for them to acknowledge it's a known issue and get some dev work done.  It's a great device otherwise.

I checked all the notification fields, restarted my phone, deleted the device from my phone and set up the device again and finally deleted and reloaded the app and then it started working

Oh, I’m not. I gave up. Had them send me a replacement- same issues. Nothing works. It’s a failure in their software with relation to the iPhone OS.

From Fitbit:

"Upon checking I verified that our team is currently working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution."

My question back - "when did they start working on a resolution for this?  Seems like it's been an issue since at least March 2019"

Their response - "This is an on going hot issue since we exhausted all the following troubleshooting steps and nothing works, I confirmed that our team is still loong for possible solution regarding this one."

Annoying for those of us who have tried everything on this thread and can't get it to work, but at least they acknowledged it's an issue.

So frustrating, I agree, it’s a software issue.

I’d you have an iPhone, try this.... it worked for me.

go into your settings. Go to notifications.  Go to messages. Go to where it says “show previews” change that setting to “always” or “ when unlocked” also, it won’t hurt to off off “Notification Center” in that setting as well. This worked for me. I put mine on “when unlocked” and I started receiving my texts on my Fitbit.

Tried that. Six times. Two different iPhones. Two different Fitbit HR’s. Didn’t work.

I see I got an update on my HR this week. And, no change. STILL don’t get notifications on it. Did anyone’s change for them?

Same. I was hopeful, ran all the troubleshooting, reset, reloaded, turned off and on and nothing.

I suddenly stopped receiving text notifications on my Inspire HR and this is what finally worked for me after I tried EVERYTHING else that others had suggested. Thanks!
