My Inspire HR is not accurately tracking my sleep. Sometimes it doesn't track it at all! I have tried resetting it a few times, but that has not worked. HELP, PLEASE! Thanks!

Thank you for your post. I did return the defective first Inspire HR fitbit since it was not tracking my heart rate and therefore neither sleep. The new one works perfectly.

Ok, well, finding a 30-page thread on this doesn't give me much confidence. I restarted by Inspire after it stopped tracking my sleep a few days ago.

If that doesn't work I guess it's going in the trash. I only wear it at night for the purpose of tracking sleep, so if it doesn't do that I have no need for it.

Mine seems to be ok now & is tracking my sleep. I don’t tell my ap when I’m going to sleep but just use the tracker & that seems to have done the trick. V frustrating though when it doesn’t do what it’s meant to.
Good luck in getting it sorted.

Mine seems ok now & is tracking me sleep. These posts helped as someone suggested just letting the watch track my sleep rather than telling the app when I go to sleep. Not sure why the app gives you that option though when it doesn’t work.

I've never started it manually, because supposedly it doesn't give you detailed tracking if you do. It always just knew when I was asleep and now it no longer does.

Thanks though. I hope yours keeps working for ya!

That’s good to hear. Mine seems ok now but I’m keeping an eye on it. Don’t want to spend all my time googling solutions when it doesn’t do what it’s meant to.

Do you let the watch track your sleep or do you use the app to say when you’re going to sleep/waking up? I was doing the latter (as seemed logical to give it precise timings) but seems that was the problem. I now just let the watch track my sleep & it’s working now.
None of the Fitbit instructions explain it though.

@Nettinoodles , the option for starting sleep in your app is for older Fitbits that do not have a heart rate monitor.  It is still on the app for those folk who still have older Fitibits.

For Fitbits with a heartrate function it should all happen automatically so it is important not to start the function in your app - it will give you exact times, but it will switch off the auto function that will give you so many more insights!

I hope this makes sense.

It makes sense, and it sure should track my sleep automatically. But it doesn't.

I've never started it manually, because there's no point in getting just the time I went to bed and woke up.

I just did another reset. We'll see if that helps. If not, I'll probably get an under-mattress sleep tracker that tracks HR and throw the inspire away.

@DS424 , unfortunately this is one big thread and there are all sorts of reason for advanced sleep tracking not working as expected

The easy ones are when folks use the app to start sleep which is an option for older Fitbits and ones with HR.

Other issues are more complex and need more details and specific working with induivdual users to work out what the problme might be

Mine is an Inspire HR, which was supposed to track sleep. I t was defective since the heart symbol did not pulse at all. I tried all kinds of things, before realizing that it was defective and returning it. The new one works perfectly.

If you reset your Inspire HR and delete got bit tracker from account, are you going to lose all your past stats?

Are you sure the HR is turned on? Scroll to settings on the watch, then tap it and you will see the HR settings. You can also try forgetting the device and then setting it up again on your phone. That seemed to work for me. But be sure you also reset the watch 3 times as well!

My Inspire tracked sleep and active minutes for the 1st 2 weeks that I had it and then it just stopped.  It still tracks steps but I want the sleep tracker and activity record.  Online chat had me restart the Inspire and said it would fix it but it didn't.  I have restarted it several times in the last few days but no luck.  A long phone call with an agent ended up with him telling me it was a glitch on their end and they would let me know when it is fixed.   Five days later...nothing. UNACCEPTABLE.
