It still vibrates when I hit the button. I saw the smile once but haven't seen it since and nothing is working. Very frustrating given its only 2 weeks old. Is there a solution or hard reset?

I am experiencing the same thing!!!! I woke up to my fitbit screen not turning on! I can feel it vibrate when i press the button and i can see my steps going up when i sync my app which shows the screen is broken!! I’ve had this less than 2 months which is unacceptable!

I am having the same issue with my HR, which I have had from launch. It is pulling data to my app, but I have no display on the screen. The battery is about 50%. My Samsung S9 had an update this morning. Could that have caused it? I think the restart is hard to do when you can't see if it is off or not when there is nothing on the screen to begin with. I am in an activity contest and this is highly inconvenient, so don't want to take a chance that it does not go back on. It seems like this is a widespread issue that was reported back in April, so what is fitbit doing to fix the issue? Have you even found the root of the problem?

Hi, @Julie_W , I appreciate that the restart is more difficult when you cannot see the screen, ut it very well might fix your issue. The Inspire HR can’t actually turn off (as long as its battery is charged, so a restart will not actually turn it off. It will just reset it, hopefully to the screen oroperly waking up, and since it seems to be syncing your steps to your activity contest, the restart will not affect that.
I would rcommend giving it a try. If you get in touch with Customer Service I am pretty sure that they will recommend this as a first step.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Hi, @Lundy25 , did you try the Restart procedure that I posted above?
It is worth trying this two or three times, as a single restart does not always work. Please do post again if the restart does not work. There is always someone here to help.

I agree. I have had mine for 48 hrs, saw the smiley face once. Can't dim the light at night. Can't set the clock display or any display to stay on in the day. ....Many problems with this thing.

Change the clock face through your fitbit phone app. Mine works after going "dead" for one night.

So I see this is an older post, for those still looking for an easy fix for your Fitbit Inspire or Inspire HE display not working is this. Go onto your app associated with your Fitbit and change the display face to another display. Very easy, at my place of employment we all got a Fitbit inspire watch for free with Humana insurance, and the display screen going out is very common. This has worked every time as long as your phone still connects to your watch, good luck

Hello everybody, welcome and thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community.
I regret to hear that you are having difficulties with the display of your Fitbit Inspire HR. Thank you for letting us know that some of you have resolved the issue after performing a restart or changing the clock face.
Currently, the Fitbit Inspire HR has only 1 brightness option. You are welcome to vote a suggestion called Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode' which is currently under consideration. Once any update be available, it will be communicated as soon as possible.
If you are still having difficulties after following the above steps, please let us know to provide further assistance.

My inspire also stoppped having a display. It was working earlier and has now stopped. It still tracks my steps and charges just nothing on my display. When i push the side button to look at the screen it vibrates but no display. I tried to restart it 3 times. Nothing. 😥 I have also had mine about 2-3 weeks.
