I put my Fitbit Inspire HR on the charger as I had previously done, but the display has stayed black, and it is randomly vibrating. Sometimes, a happy face will appear, then fades away and the screen stays black.

Had a long online chat and phone chat with fitbit and they couldn't resolve the issue.
Returned for full refund.
Issue now closed.

On the app on phone, try changing the clock face. Someone suggested that and it worked for me. Apparently the took my clock face off so nothing would show up.

I cannot even do that because the watch won't connect to my phone. It will stop at the 4 digit code it wants from the phone, but nothing will come up on the screen so nothing works. The watch is only 4 months old, and it's a **ahem**.

I plugged it into the USB wall charger. Held the side button for about 5seconds and it seems to have worked for now. We will see how long. I've barely had the Inspire HR for a 6weeks. I'm a bit disappointed that I'm already having an issue. ☹

I googled what to do I put it on the charge for about 10 minutes took it off then pressed the button and held it for about 5 seconds..and my watch worked..if you have it synced to your phone there are updates too.

Put your watch on the charger for about 5 minutes so when you take it off hold the button in for about 10 seconds and it should come back on and it might take a minute but mine did and it reset and also when you go into your phone with your Fitbit should be synced with your phone sometimes there's updates you need to do check your Fitbit app and see if there's any updates you need to do and when you do that you need to have your phone right next to your watch I just did one and it took about 30 minutes to do it so I would look into that as well

Hi. I have done that a few times. The watch just become unsynced one day with the phone, and the screen blacked out. I have read this issue many times online, and Fitbit won't honor the warranty even though the watch was only four months old. I tried to resync the watch with the phone but it stops at the 4 digit pin to enter because the watch screen is blank, and once in a great while I will see the green flashes in back but that is random. The first watch we bought was an alta hr, had for a few years, with no issues.
