My Inspire HR device is registering up 300 steps whilst I’m sleeping. Why is this and how do I delete them?

@DeanRd Welcome! It's great to see you around!

Let me help you with your steps detected while sleeping. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen when driving. You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement.

Let me know how it goes.

Maybe don't use the copy when it implies your customer has a serious sleep disorder.

Thank you for your reply but it doesn’t answer my question to be honest. Several hundred steps whilst sleeping or sitting watching tv feels like a flaw with the sensitivity of the device. Tonight I’ve watched tv for one hour and gained 180 steps?

Next time you "play the drums" in bed, try to account for it before insinuating that Fitbit has released a defective product.

My Inspire HR recorded 500 steps when I wasn’t wearing it. I had removed my device while I was sleeping. Please help.
