After updating my iPhone 6s+ to iOs 13 and updating my Versa I am now getting Active Call Notifications, meaning when I initiate a phone call I get a notification that there is an active call. I have not been able to find anything anywhere on how to turn this feature off. I still want the incoming call notifications to come through so turning off calls all together doesn't help me. Is anyone else receiving these notifications? And if so, has anyone found a way to turn them off?
This problem has been going on long enough now what is Fitbit doing about it? As the items Fitbit has sold to their customers are faulty with not performing properly if this carry’s on unsolved am sure there must be a case for trading standards and watchdog
I couldn't agree with you more Annetts. I actually had enough and called Fitbit. I guess the issue was with the one notification setting. Under messages you have to always allow previews.
Which I feel is two fold, glad I can get messages again - however I intentionally do not want previews on my phone but I can not have notifications on my phone without it? I would like Fitbit to resolve this.
Which seems crazy? Why should it be we have to sacrifice privacy because they can’t work out the notifications
I think I’ll be asking Santa for an iWatch after all
sad because I’ve loved all my fitbits
WORKAROUND: On my Charge 3 special edition: if I hit "clear" on the active call notification, it hangs up the call. If I swipe up, down, left or right, it does nothing. However, if I have the notification showing (that is, watch face has not gone to sleep/blank) and I click on the side button, the call stays connected, the active call notification goes away, and I can use my fitbit to see time, date, # steps, etc.
THIS IS NOT A BLUETOOTH PROBLEM, BUT AN IOS PROGRAMMING PROBLEM. - since it's happening on Garmin watches as well. https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/vivoactive-3-3-music/170594/ios-13-beta... (you can see on Reddit as well) Fitbit, I know you didn't cause the problem but you can fix it by allowing suppression of that one notification function and/or by changing the watch function so that touching "clear" removes the notification without hanging up the call.
Yes, this ‘Clear’ feature is not accurate. The watch will say ‘Active Call’ and then say ‘Clear’ underneath. When I press ‘Clear’, it doesn’t clear the screen, it disconnects my call. It should say ‘End Call’ if that’s what it actually does! I just want to clear the screen so I can see the time! Definitely something Fitbit should fix! I just lost a very important call due to their error.
Almost February and it’s STILL doing it!! I made a call today and the active call notification vibrated on my Fitbit Versa after 10 seconds of conversation and it disconnected my call WTF!? iPhone XS Max iOS 13 updated app a gazillion times and restarted Fitbit Versa STILL doing the B.S.!!!!
I am also wondering when a fix will be in place. It seems like I get a buzz/notification every 1 minute while I am on the call. So annoying.
I have just made a comment myself about this. I think we should all log a complaint with trading standards!!
Totally agree a complaint should be made to trade and standards and to watchdog and investigation should be made against this company as like I said in previous messages the Fitbit watches are not performing as they should so they are classed as a faulty items
Best AnswerWow, this is getting ridiculous! I have the same problem. I get an Active Call notification when I initiate a call (thank you, I *know* I made a call.) Plus I am not getting notifications when a call is incoming, only a missed call notification. Thanks for telling me I missed a call you didn't tell me about!
Add this to the Today View problems, and the Quick Settings dropdown problem and I am regretting choosing this device.
Best AnswerAgreed! I just charged up my Fitbit for the first time in almost 9 months. 2 days in and it’s driving me crazy! It’s disappointing that no one from Fitbit is responding to this thread to give an update.
Still no update on this??
I'm still getting notifications on my fitbit watch when I make a call.
No thank you. I don't need to be told I'm doing something I am already aware of. I don't keep my phone in my pocket so I don't "pocket dial" people,
Please give a setting to turn this notification OFF without having to completely turn off Call notifications -because yes I want to know when someone is calling me since I don't always have sound on my phone. But when I'm the one making a call, a notification is not needed
