Anyone having similar issues?

First off, the Versa has been terrific. I have had it since Monday afternoon, it made it to last night before needing to go on the charger (with a couple GPS connected exercises included in there), is very comfy, screen is crystal clear all the time even in very bright sun. But I have had a couple things of note:

  • Day one with it, after a long firmware update, it synced once and then had a lot of trouble syncing again. Didn't sync up for almost 6 hours honestly. But then, it started syncing and has had no issues since. Constantly syncs in the background. I made no changes to settings to get this going again.
  • Couple days ago, I had 63 active minutes and 8 of 12 hours active moving but those stats would not update in the app. They shows on the watch, but not the phone app. All other stats updated accordingly, steps, stairs, distance, etc. Watch, Bluetooth, and phone restarts did nothing. It wasn't until I went into the Android setting and Force Stopped the Fitbit app and then started it again that it picked up those stats. I did make Twitter support aware through Twitter with screen shots.
  • Speaking of active minutes, I had to set a higher threshold for the Active Minute activities. Example, walking through the grocery store would end up giving me 30 something minutes active. And trust me, I am not that excited about running to the samples at the cheese counter (don't judge me, lol). I found I had to set the multiple exercises that are detected (workout and walking specifically) to be 20 or 30+ minutes to be auto detected, otherwise I felt like I was getting active minutes I didn't actually earn. Didn't see to have that issue with the Blaze. Maybe the Versa is more sensitive.

Has anyone else with a Versa had any minor issues? All my problems have passed or have been resolved now, and I love this watch a ton.

Me too! I'm about to just go back to my charge 2. I won't be able to get a refund for this piece of crap versa either

I have had my Versa for over a month.  It was ok for the first week, however over the last few weeks, it will not sync to the app.  I have disconnected and reconnected the bluetooth several times with no success.  It is not counting my active minutes, not tracking my sleep and it's not tracking my daily exercise.  I have had 2 other Fitbits, and never had a problem.  If I can't figure this out, I will need to return it.

I must admit that I’m having similar issues even though I’ve had my versa for about 3 months.  The step count and floors climbed are not consistent from day to day even though my routine is pretty much the same each day, but I’m getting wildly different results from the versa.  For the last two days I have looked at the verse when I get out of bed and noticed that I have done 27,300 steps in my sleep. Not sure what the problem is but it is disappointing as for the first few months it has worked pretty good.

I have given up on Fitbit and versa. I have tried two versas and both were
a piece of crap. Returned them both and bought an Apple Watch. OMG so happy
I did! The best thing I ever did! Accurate and many more options. The I
watch is on sale now probably because a new model is coming out soon. So
worth the little bit more money.

Same here. And when I called and talked to a representative,  she just told me to keep an eye on it for a few days and report back. What good will this do when this over priced Versa isn't even made to be compatible with the android Samsung Galaxy S9+. BUT Fitbit won't tell you that upfront. FITBIT SHOULD REFUND THEIR USERS THAT ARE STUCK WITH THIS PIECE OF CRAP!

Same thing keeps happening with my versa, along with many other issues. I'm just about ready to ditch Fitbit for good!

My Versa has been nothing but trouble from day 1. Not user friendly in any way. Sorry I didn’t buy the AppleWatch.

@Mburnett22 Same! Returned versa and stopped using HR2, bought Apple Watch. Best decision ever.

I’ve had my Versa since it’s release. Got it from FitBit before the store release so just about 10 months. I have had NO issues with mine. It works great.

Tho I have thought about the Apple Watch but I’ve been with FitBit for over 6 years. I started with The One then onto the Charge 2 before going to The Versa. I have bought many other Fitbit’s for family and friends with excellent results.

The customer service has been great with some Fitbit’s even being replaced with no questions asked.

All this to say that FitBit has always been a fit tracker that evolved into a smart watch. Apple was a smart watch that evolved into a fitness tracker. Apple has a massive company to back up their products but FitBit has always been there for me.

To me this is just a case of which gives you more for what you need and want. I hope your Apple Watch gives you what you want.

After I got the first versa replaced it’s been fabulous!! Now customer service some of the people I spoke to very awesome but others not do much.

A friend of mine that was looking for a new Fitbit was asking when I had all the problems she waited to see if my sending one was going to work before deciding on what product to get. Happy to say she choose the versa too.

I've had many problems with my Versa.  Today I spent another 30 min w/customer support and in the end they said I qualified for a replacement.  This is the 4th watch within 11 months.  The first had a glitched screen (replacement #1).  The 2nd one I wore in the water and it died within a week and a half. The versa is waterproof as it has a lap counting feature (replacement #2).  With this 3rd watch the left and right buttons stopped working properly (replacement #3).  Technical support let me know today that I qualified for a replacement...again.  I have very little confidence with the next replacement and my warranty is over April 1.  I know what it feels like to have buyers remorse ..I love the watch but the quality of the Versa has turned into a story I wish I never had.  I would at least like to have the warranty extended with each replacement and customer support was unable to help as they are for advice and technical support.  I'm considering contacting Fitbit directly...what do you think?

I have trashed my worthless FitBit and written it off as a very bad
shopping choice, I should have purchased a Apple Watch in the beginning. I
will be visiting a Apple Store soon to buy a superior Apple Watch next
week. I will work with a specialist and learn to use my watch properly.

@cjosic cjosic I don’t even own a Fitbit anymore and I feel for you. Sounds like an absolute nightmare. I would contact Fitbit directly. Since Versa is just a piece of junk, I would ask them for another model. I would recommend HR3. My HR2 was great, I hear HR3 is fine. It’s unacceptable that they are selling lemons.

on another note: if you are able to return the watch or at least get some sort of refund for this nonsense, I would buy an Apple Watch. I love my watch and will never go back to Fitbit.

@Marussia Me too! Got the Apple Watch for Christmas. Have had absolutely no issues. It was the best decision ever.  It’s been perfect for running - I love it so much. Buh-bye Fitbit!

Thanks so much for your support. I agree 100% that FitBit Versa is a faulty and poorly designed product. Unacceptable piece of crap.☹️
