Fitbit Update: 6/5

Hey there, Versa Fam!

Thanks so much for your patience with this issue of clearing notifications from the watch. Our team has identified a fix for this that will release in a future firmware update.

I'm not sure when the next firmware update will be rolled out, just know it should include the fix for this. In the meantime, please give your Versa a restart if you have trouble "clearing all" the notifications off. After the restart, your notifications will be gone.

Fitbit Update: 2/27

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to follow-up with you all that have come across any difficulty clearing notifications on their Versa. I've experienced this myself a few times and a restart has always resolved the problem. Please give the watch a restart as your go-to troubleshooting step.

Our team is aware of this ongoing problem and working on a permanent fix. Please stay subscribed to this thread for future updates on this topic.

Hello

Yep, noticing it here from Perth, western Australia ! I opt to enable whatsapp messenger to my fitbit versa and after a period of time and multiple whatsapp messages, i have had to and always need to reboot my watch to ensure they work again. Following this channel to keep me posted when the permanent fix arrives and rolled out. Keep us posted

Thanks superbly

Hi, since your Versa deletes every notifications but ONE, I would advice you to restart your watch and see if that solves your problem. Restarting is simple:

1. Go to settings, scroll down to about and then scroll down to shutdown. Once your watch has been shut down, wait for a short time and then press the home button (left one) to start your Versa again.

2. Press and hold the left and right lower buttons together and wait untill the Fitbit Logo appears on you display and release the buttons.

I had several notifications that wouldn’t clear. I followed Kuzibri’s simple instructions and found that not only were the existing notifications cleared, but when a subsequent one came in, it was also cleared by using “Clear All”, and when I scrolled down from the top, I got got the “Nothing new here - you’re all caught up!” message.

THANKS!

This thread is not about notifications on the app.

It's about notifications on the device.

You have to shut down the device to clear those until they fix the issue, maybe with a device update?

@Gandhi

How are you shutting it down?

There is no fix for it yet, I was just speculating that Fitbit might have it included in a future device update.

Interesting- Resetting the watch worked perfectly for me, clearing all notifications as expected. I wonder if older versions of firmware work differently. I have the latest model of Fitbit Versa Special Edition, and have had very few problems with anything until I encountered problems with notifications.  However, a couple of simple fixes resolved each of them.  So far, so good!

And that's the same for me. Works every time! I do have to repeat it every few days, but it always clears it. I also have Versa Special edition up to date.

But that's what I find strange about @denvparker  and @Gandhi  who both (I understand) say it doesn't.

@Gandhi and @Smartcar have you contacted Fitbit about your Versa devices to say they are not working correctly?

The workaround (turn off the Versa or restart) has worked for everyone else generally though we have to apply it every day or almost every day. It sounds as if your Versas might be faulty if that doesn't work for you

Fitbit are very helpful if you contact them.

Thank u for your suggestion but I would not be able to show them the device as I'm based in India and the service center staff whom I  did show my watch too had no clue on how to fix it here.
