Feedback about Fitbit Versa

I have gone through 2 Fitbit Versas. The shelf life of this watch seems to be 2 to 3 months before it starts acting up. The heart rate stops reading accurately. It begins wildly overestimating your heart's BPM during light activity like sitting. No activity recorded (of course because you're just sitting) but your heart rate will register in the cardio or peak zone. Having this one inaccurate reading causes a cascade effect... Your calories burned are wildly inaccurate, sleep data off... Two Versas in the span of 6 months, same issue. Apparently Fitbit techs are aware of the problem. Months later they still have no workable solution. I had to badger Fitbit customer service to honor their company warranty and replace my watch the first go round. Now I'm just disgusted with it. Chalk it up to loss. Heed the warning and save youself some aggravation.

I am not disputing your experience with your Versa/s. But it is not the whole story and I think your claim the Versa is trash is wrong. I have had mine since they came out and have had absolutely no problems. It is has great Heart Rate sensing both at restand when working hard, and I would rate it as my most accurate tracker over all the different things that it does, along with the Ionic. I am really impressed with mine.

Im inclined to agree with both of you. My husband and I got the versa one month apart. With the exception of the update issue his has worked flawlessly. For us unlucky ones its so frustrating that versa has so many constant issues. My concern is that you shouldnt have to fight with customer service to honor the warranty. I had to replace my charge  twice and my fitbit one once because  both died within 2 to 3 months. My ultra, flex, flex 2, charge hr,  and blaze worked flawlessly. I kept buying newer models because their service used to be stellar. Customer service🙄🙄🤑🤑 ugh  I understand your frustration. I always had faith in fitbit but thats gone now. Im done no more fitbits for me. I hope the third times the charm for you.  Good luck.

I also agree with you both of you.  Versa has many issues on Android.  It seems to work well on the iPhone.  I am on my 2nd one now and still is not working as it is supposed to.  Step tracking and HR is wildly inaccurate.  I don't think enough beta testing was done before release.  They were feeling the heat of a new Apple watch coming out a few months after the Versa and was trying to capitalize on a couple of month head start, except it was not ready for release.

I am experiencing the same issues with mine now. I awoke this morning with a flat battery due to the HR working flat out in peak all night long! I’m having troubles with sync also. It seems that my Versa is experiencing many issues in which I am reading on this site and yes not even 6 months in.  Not happy!!!

I just posted a message basically saying the same thing as the OP.  The Versa is garbage.  It is the worst Fitbit product I've owned.  I have been a customer since 2012 and I'm done.  I've referred several people to Fitbit who have purchase but I won't anymore.  The best Fitbit product I've had was the One.  I further agree with the poster who said they didn't do enough beta testing before releasing the product.  Maybe to some folk $200 is nothing but to me, it's a lot of money to spend on a product that's no good.  Fitbit has lost a loyal customer in me!!!

I spoke with customer service yesterday to try  sort my Fitbit issues out as it now has the black screen of death. We tried a manual reset etc etc to no avail so I am now receiving a new versa which has already been ordered and getting ready for delivery so I thank Fitbit for the prompt service in that department. I am hoping I get lucky with this one but yes $299 is a lot of money so if same problems I will be then seeking a refund or an exchange for a different model of some sort to replace.

I have my Versa about a week now and I’m just about ready to chuck it in the woods. It has given me such anxiety. Nothing works, nothing downloads, can’t get weather app. I am spending sooooo much time trying to fix it. I’m sending it back. Thank God l purchased it  through QVC. I just ordered an Apple Watch. Thought it was supposed to be smart

I just say give it time. Yours too has an expiration date. A product with so many unadressed major  complaints is bound to dissapoint you at some point. The odds favor this unfortunate outcome. Just because you haven't gotten there yet, it seems like my story is one-sided. But just wait... Not that I am wishing it on you. Just giving you the benefit of my experience as one of many customers who've run into some variation of this same issue.

I could not  agree more. I have been arguing back and forth with this stupid company since August. I was lied to when I first reported my issue, then led to believe something was being done about it when it all along that wasn’t true. I was told they were sending the glitch “up the chain of command” all lies. I was told someone would contact me with a solution or some type of resolution within a few days of me reporting the problem. That was August 18th 2018. As of today October 29th 2018- I have get to get any such response. I still have the same issue, they refuse to admit wrong doing. They tried to bribe me with a refurbished replacement and “complimentary leather band”. I don’t have a leather band, I don’t like leather and do not want a leather band. I explained this to customer service and requested to speak with someone higher up the chain of command. That has not happened either. They said they run checks on refurbished devices, however a quick google search will tell you otherwise. This issue has been happening since versa came out in 2017. So I refuse to believe a refurbished watch that some stranger had on their wrist at some point , no matter how long or short- or how well Fitbit claims they clean them. I am not going to accept someone else’s unwanted device as a solution to the problem my device is having when they clearly can’t gursntee it won’t happen again. I asked for an upgrade instead of replacement and a silly leather bribe- and was told they don’t have such an option. I am looking into other products and throwing Fitbit to the side ASAP!

I agree 110%, versa is garbage and I am getting a new tracker. It will not be a Fitbit product that’s for sure!

My wife has a Versa paired with a Google Pixel (Android 9) and it's absolutely flawless. I instead have an Ionic since almost one year and it is the best smartwatch I ever owned (Paired with Google Pixel 2 XL, Android 9).

I agree 100%. My Versa is a lemon. Fitbit's customer service is a bad joke. All I can look forward to now is seeing the company go down in flames.

My Versa started reading 9000 calories burned a day because the heart rate monitor died while swimming in a shallow pool. Fitbit Customer Service was miserable and told me that this was a software issue (lie) that would be patched (lie) and therefore a replacement could not be given. I was lied to for hours! When I called out individual lies, the representatives would just dismiss my points. I felt like I was being treated poorly simply for requesting a repair or replacement.

I will never buy a Fitbit product again and will be certain to advise my peers not to.

Same here!! I'm still waiting for my replacement. They sent me a tracking which has no update and when I asked further, they told me i need to wait another 2 months because it's international shipment. 😞
