Feedback about Fitbit Versa

I have gone through 2 Fitbit Versas. The shelf life of this watch seems to be 2 to 3 months before it starts acting up. The heart rate stops reading accurately. It begins wildly overestimating your heart's BPM during light activity like sitting. No activity recorded (of course because you're just sitting) but your heart rate will register in the cardio or peak zone. Having this one inaccurate reading causes a cascade effect... Your calories burned are wildly inaccurate, sleep data off... Two Versas in the span of 6 months, same issue. Apparently Fitbit techs are aware of the problem. Months later they still have no workable solution. I had to badger Fitbit customer service to honor their company warranty and replace my watch the first go round. Now I'm just disgusted with it. Chalk it up to loss. Heed the warning and save youself some aggravation.

I have a charge 3 and the same issues have been happening. When I opened my Fitbit the first time, it came broken and would not charge, turn or, or do anything... should have been a warning to me. so had to go out of my way to return it and get a new one.. I really wish I never got another one because I have had problems since I first started using it! anytime I actually want to use it to track my run or an exercise, it won't work. I have to tell my friends sorry, trying to track the run but my Fitbit won't work.,.. constantly! plus, it dies extremely fast all of the sudden. Like a few hours after I charge it. its unresponsive when I click the button or turn the watch to face me (& yes, screen wake is on). it isn't tracking my steps correctly, and overall I've had MORE problems with this thing than I have good use of it. It was such a waste of money! I should have just got an Apple Watch. so annoying.. these things seemed like they were rushed out to be sold. Moreover, I have heard of people who have had ZERO issues with these (my brother and mom for example). The fact that some work and some do not is infuriating, and should not be an issue with such an expensive product.. (may not be expensive to some of you).

Have own 6 Fits, including Charge 3 and Versa. All work well. Sorry for your bad luck.

Wow I agree, the Fitbit versa is the first Fitbit product I've purchased. I should have read all these complaints before purchasing this model. I've has this for less than a month. The connectivity is horrible. It should reconnect if I'm in range with my phone.. but it fails to do so... it's a pretty expensive piece of plastic that does not function the way it is intended. I've had my Garmin for 2 years and did not have any connective issues whatsoever.  I saw this model, which looked great.  I thought I just had lemon device... it seems as if Fitbit has a whole tree of them and needs to fix this issue asap!!! Until Fitbit fixes their issue!! I will not spending any money nor will I refer Fitbit devices. I'm sticking with Garmin!

Yeah I'd say so. There are multiple posts talking about the exact same problem about connection issues. You are doing Fitbit a disservice by trolling on people's posts. Unless you have solution please don't be troll.

It is clear you are not interested in finding a solution. Your aggressive commentary with no supporting disscussion says a lot about you. Not surprised tech is tough for you. Good luck.Sent via the Samsung Galaxy Note5, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

Just because you personally have not had an issue does not mean people don't. I know people who have had 0 issues with the Fitbit, meanwhile I literally had to send mine back after a few months for a replacement because it became completely unresponsive and had bug after bug. The company could not offer me a solution other than restarting the device, then after that not working, giving me a new one.

I’ve stopped using Fitbit and now use my Apple Watch.  I’ve owned several Fitbit’s and I still maintain the Versa is junk.  Like I said in my previous post, Fitbit has lost me as a customer.  And to the guy who acts like there’s nothing wrong with the devices because he’s had no problems, good for you.  I hope you never have any issues.  But that doesn’t negate the fact that others have had problems as evidenced by the posts here.

In my family we have 4 Fitbit devices and not a single one has sync problems. It is also true that we all use Android devices (3 Pixel + 1 Nexus 5X) so the sync problems might be due to lack is proper support by iOS.

sorry, but you are wrong. This thing is impossible to set up, download firmware, and even harder to change watch bands. It is a 200 dollar headache I took back.

@docfix who is wrong? Can you please more specific when you speak about someone?

Really? My wife, who is not a techy, has owned hers for over a year with no issues and has several bands. But that is just us. Simple people who follow directions. GL.Sent via the Samsung Galaxy Note5, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

Wrong are those who dont look at the innumerable horrible reviews which now have shut down comments about this gadget on Amazon. It took me 14 tries to download firmware for this thing on a 1G down/150 up 5G wireless network. And when it finally worked, that took 39 mins for a tiny watch. This plus impossible band change headaches and zero customer support dumped into user blogs means “DO NOT BUY”. There you have it.

There is definitely more people with problems than those who have had an easy, simple to use experience. Looking back at my experience I think Fitbit under delivered on this product. I went from loving my Fitbit to hating it and frustrated with my experience.

I would encourage people to trust their own judgement and make sure they make the right choice for them.

I agree the Fitbit verse is trash. I have had to replace 2 within 1 yr for the same issue. Black screen issues. I didn’t expect to pay $300 for a watch to work only 3-4 months. They need to take this product off the sales floor. Stop Stealing ppl money, I worked hard for it. You would think in today tech world u would not have this problem.
