Fitbit Update 8/23/18:
Hey, everyone! Just wanted to thank you all for your participation in this thread.
Since the majority of Versa users have successfully updated to OS 2.1.1 (v32.32.10.15) I have decided to close this topic from further comments.
If you still have not updated your Versa to OS 2.1.1, check out this help article for how to update your device. Please complete this update so that you're prepared for the next release.
If you are experiencing an issue with your Versa unrelated to the firmware-up process, I invite you to start a new topic on the Community or find a related topic.
Thanks for all your feedback and contributions on this thread. We're looking forward to bringing you all the next Fitbit OS update!
Fitbit Update 05/11/2018: We have released Fitbit OS 2.1 to 100% of Versa users (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15).
Hi, everyone!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT’S NEW
Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?
WHAT’S FIXED
This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.
Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here.
I recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Versa, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Mareyeka you are exactly right. These devices cost too much to have to go through so much.

@MarcoFitbit @AlessFitbit What about the fact that we were promised a fix for the Exercise Custom Stats bug and there wasn't one?

It doesn't work with Android 7 and my compatible Samsung after the firmware and app updates. I was on the phone with three people at CS for over an hour on 5/28 before they admitted this.
Fitbit should just be honest and tell Android users that troubleshooting won't work until Fitbit fixes the problem and proves it works with live video demos and an apology from CTO and CEO. That might help restore confidence.

For those of us with older model phones, will there be an update that will allow us to use the quick reply function? Or are we SOL.
I will say that I have had no problems with my Versa otherwise. However, I was really looking forward to having that feature.

I have the latest firmware, my Versa still had issues syncing, I turned off Bluetooth on my phone when I was at home, and now we sync without issue.

I've updated to this firmware. But I got several issues:
1. Everytime I tried to connect to WiFi, it says connected, but several seconds later it says Wifi is off on my watch. When I tried to reconnect again on Fitbit app, it forced me to select SSID again. How come? Is my wifi chip broken or something? My access point is located less than 1 meter to my watch, and there's no obstacle between.
2. I installed Calendar app by Jason Brooges. But when I tried to change into Dark Mode and Week start on Monday, it doesn't happen to change. Is this fitbit problem or specific to that app only?

I have confirmed Versa Firmware Release - 32.32.10.20 and I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I still cannot receive text messages. I could do quick replies when I received the update. I cannot sync anymore thus I am unable to receive any notifications as of this morning.

I hope this update fixes the step counts that increase drastically on charging. Attached a screen shot when I was charging my phone in morning. The graph shows no step counts however the total count is beyond 10k.

Just hoping we get this fix soon. I am happy with everything else. But this kinda irritates me
Edit: just realized m already on this update. Looks like the customer support of Fitbit is not that great. And I am stuck with it now.

I have the galaxy note 5 with Verizon and I use Verizon message+ for text and with this new update it doesn't notify my text messages on my versa and I called and complained but how long until we resolve this issue and when will the period tracker be available too. I feel like I'm being short changed with buying this and I'm not getting what's advertised

My one has been on the new firmware now for quite a while and it seems to have fixed the duplicate email alerts with more alert related options.
However, as reported by others the battery life is reduced and the emails telling you to charge it are far to often for my likes.
So much so now that I forget to remove it from the cradle till I'm out and realise my activity will not be logged 🙂
It would be nice if it could alert you that it is charged ready for a couple more days use.

I'm having these issues as well and Fitbit seem clueless as to how to help!

2. Let user choose whether to update the firmware when pairing
- I would like to know whether the device work properly before updating at the first setup, than to waste time without results setting up
Add my vote to this one. I had to factory reset my phone, and tried everything I could to get my Versa to sync with the FitBit app after (on Android). Had no choice but to factory reset the versa as well. I was on 32.32.10.20 version, and the sync downgraded me to 32.32.10.15!! Not only did I have to wait almost 30 minutes it was updating something that did not need it. I was having no issues at all with my Versa, I hope this does not introduce anything. Why would you downgrade a device!!
