Fitbit Update 8/23/18:

Hey, everyone! Just wanted to thank you all for your participation in this thread.

Since the majority of Versa users have successfully updated to OS 2.1.1 (v32.32.10.15) I have decided to close this topic from further comments.

If you still have not updated your Versa to OS 2.1.1, check out this help article for how to update your device. Please complete this update so that you're prepared for the next release.

If you are experiencing an issue with your Versa unrelated to the firmware-up process, I invite you to start a new topic on the Community or find a related topic.

Thanks for all your feedback and contributions on this thread. We're looking forward to bringing you all the next Fitbit OS update! Smiley Happy

Fitbit Update 05/11/2018: We have released Fitbit OS 2.1 to 100% of Versa users (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15).

Hi, everyone! Smiley Happy

I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15)

We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.

WHAT’S NEW

Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?

WHAT’S FIXED

This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.

Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here.

I recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article

If you run into any trouble updating your Versa, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips

Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Fitbit customer service is the WORST! They don't even know anything about
the products. I was told by CS that the Versa does not show your
personalized workouts, that the 3 workouts that are set by the factory, are
the only workouts that you will ever see. Seriously?

Sorry I’m not excited about it. Your firmware destroyed my 5 week old Fitbit and instead of customer service immediately resolving it I️ had to jump through hoops which still did not resolve the problem and I️ am without my Versa. As a person who tracks everything this is frustrating and honestly makes me want to get an Apple Watch.

I hope it fixes the consistent disconnecting issues with Bluetooth , I have to reset up my Versa every couple days , and now it doesn't sync unless I reset.  Its really frustrating.  Only way I can get it to work every couple days is to factory reset and then I lose data.  Its been a couple months and if this doesn't stop soon then I'm returning.

I️ think Fitbit released this too quickly without really hashing out the bugs. You shouldn’t have to keep resetting it. If they don’t resolve my issue I’m switching to an Apple Watch.

 Hi

I have a OnePlus 5 and I am planning to buy the Fitbit versa. Can you please tell me whether it's compatible or not?

It will really help me decide

Thanks

Mine is working good now. I went through hell with it for like, 2 days. But
I did a bunch of bs... Uninstall, install, blah blah blah! Lol! But it's
been working with no issues for about 2 weeks now. Good luck everyone! Xoxo

OnePlus is a company that makes mobile phones and 5 is the name of a particular model!! It's quite popular. U shud check it out

What kind of glitches are you talking about in the versa? My phone runs on Android Oreo 8.1.0

Will it be compatible with it?

Unfortunately I agree , I love my Fitbit blaze but wanted the music storage and app feature and decided on the versa instead of the Apple Watch but it’s really getting to be ridiculous how I have to reset it every 3 days and it syncs sporadically when it does . I hate to return it but it’s not worth the money when it doesn’t work properly

Well get ready to run around in circles with the support team where they would suggest you to charge your fitbit with endless chargers and various laptops/computer USB's .  Many of us are sailing in the same boat. If you have purchased it locally get it exchanged or get a refund and buy a Garmin or whatever you like  Don't bother contacting the support as they would direct you to various links on how to charge your fitbit and how to connect your watch to the charger. In this tech savy society they feel we are  living in stone age! Since I bought mine internationally I have to go through their lazy customer support where they would take 2 days to reply to an email  Where they would simply copy and paste replies from this forum and consider it as a solution.. When you end up doing what they have told you to do they will make sure you repeat the same thing several times!! Get a refund ! Stop wasting your time.

Do not buy the versa! It is very much compatible as I am using the same phone! but do not buy it . their software has too many bugs and they have a large amount of faulty products in circulation. Take a chance with something else with the same amount of money . Do your research and buy something else!!

I will suggest you to not buy it. The sync is terrible with OnePlus5. it syncs one day and the next morning the sync is gone. Then u have to reset the Fitbit, restart your mobile etc etc. The step count is buggy at the moment. When u charge the device it, the step counts keep increasing.

Worse part even after all these complaints Fitbit does not address any issue in the community or tell us that they are working on it. I lost my 230 euros and I will recommend u wait until Fitbit launches an update and fixes these issues. Not worth spending on it at the moment.

I am seeing a lot of people saying not to buy the Versa, But I have had mine working for over 3 weeks, no problems only when I got a software update (NOT firmware) I am on the 32.32.10.15, And all I done was restarted the watch. I receive all notifications I have setup. Messages, Emails, Facebook, Messenger. As I have said before I skipped wifi setup and its worked fine, I have already informed Fitbit this is where the problem occurs, as as soon as I setup wifi it does not work. I have put this in the forum a few times, so please try setting up your Versa and skip wifi setup, or remove wifi in the fitbit app. see if it works for you. I was having problem after problem with the watch till I skipped wifi setup. I can reply to messages, messenger, emails fine by the watch.

Please I would like those who don't receive notifications to remove wifi, skip setting up wifi. try it, if the app is not running in the background, then leave it open in the background, and try again. Then if people come back and say this works then FITBIT can work on the wifi problem and get this watch working great. ONLY we as customers can truly get them to sort this out. and narrowing this down will help them so so much

I returned my versa on the 45th (last day it could be returned for a refund) day, could not take the problems anymore. Customer service from Fitbit is useless.

I've had none of the problems you all report...

From what I read here, the problem is that this community is not tech savy at all (for instance, "what is a oneplus; they must mean iphone5) and is basically composed of soccer moms.

The only bug I do have, and is probably related to my Xiaomi Mi Mix2, is that I can't quick reply with the default sms app. This is either due to the app itself or the fact that I have 2 sim cards and the phone can't quite figure out with one to use.

Great product so far, good batery life and really simples to use.

I've had android wear (both 1.0 and 2.0) before and those were bug, much more than this can ever be since it's so basic (in a good way)...

Thanks for your replies guys!!

After reading your comments I have decided not to buy the Versa till they come up with an update which works flawlessly with the oneplus5.

I have a solution for the steps automatically increasing while charging. I have observed if I plug my USB charger connection of my PC or laptop then the step count increases. However if I used a adapter of my mobile and plug the USB to the adapter and then use the plug point to charge, i don't get the extra counts.

Hope others can do this and report the same so that Fitbit support can understand the issue.
