Hi, everyone! I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.2! (Firmware Version: 32.12.19) At this time, we've released Fitbit OS 2.2 to a small group of Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa users.
WHAT'S CHANGED?
Please check out this help article to see what's new in this update.
IS THIS UPDATE AVAILABLE TO ME?
This update has only been released to a small group of Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa users. If you have not yet received an update notification and wish to force the update, you can give the watch a FACTORY RESET and then follow steps 1 - 4 below. Please make sure you sync the watch before performing the reset so that all your current data transfer over. Factory resetting your device clears all data from the watch including music, Fitbit Pay information, and apps. Historical Fitbit data will still be available in the Fitbit App.
HOW DO I UPDATE?
Step by step instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here. We recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into trouble updating your Ionic, please follow these steps:
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have questions, please let me know in this thread!

Isn't 32.32.10.15 a newer version of the OS then 32.12.19???? If not why is Fitbit's numbering so screwed up???

After 2 weeks of trying to get not 1 but 2 versa working I have returned it to Best Buy. I will continue to use my Charge 2 until I can get something that works. Hopefully it will be a fitbit product.

@boxallNo, it is 32.32.10.15 and 32.32.12.19. So numbering is OK.

Is it worth upgrading to the new OS if I use only the fitness features of Versa, the smart watch features are not? And why?

@Laszlo52 , if your Versa is working for you at the moment, I'd strongly suggest that you not update your firmware until the news from other owners is far more positive than it has been so far.

I still didn’t get the update and got told I’d get it soon yea when soon cuz I’m sick of hearing the word soon, the update should be rolled out to everyone all at once not in phases.

@boxall Hello! Just to clarify, the newest firmware version is 32.32.12.19. We have this documented in the help article: What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update? which lists all previous firmware versions if you ever need to reference them.
@me.shaikah Hey, there! If you're stuck updating the firmware, please give the troubleshooting listed in my floated post a try. Hope this helps you out! Let me know if you still have questions.
@SunsetRunner I'm glad you're excited about the new update! Rest assured, I will let everyone know when we continue rolling it out here in this thread. Right now, it is still available for 10% of Versa users so that we can monitor performance closely.

Now I understand. 32.32.12.19. Thanks. When will I see it as available?

Not necessarily.
Sometimes, it's a case of the left hand not talking to the right hand.
But more frequently, consider this:
How often to do you annotate, in detail, what you did at work, for every day you are at work?
After ~4 months, how many pages would that be?
How long would it take to go through all those pages, and compile the list: removing duplicates, noting what things are done, what things are in progress, and then appending any necessary explanations (which, given how users are, would be for everything).
Across all developers.
Now how much extra work is that, (taken away from further dev) and for how much benefit.

@Jingtseng I don't know who you're responding to but: 1) I annotate in detail everything I do at work every day. Of course, I work in a toxic environment, so. And 2) I think it's reasonable to expect Fitbit to at least report the big fixes that people have been waiting for, like the fix for not retaining Exercise app Custom Stats. Or the crash in the Exercise app.

"We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. "
1 week passed and still 10%. Do you found bugs and fix Firmware failure? Or are they still doing the repair?

How long is supposed to be updating for ?? Taking ages and then it stops.

This update was very frustrating. It took me over a week to finnnaly complete it. It finally completed when I Did a factory reset and did the update when the watch and phone were physically on top of my router. (I think that is what you call it.). FITBIT this is not user friendly. It’s not just press the update button and it’s done. The last time I did it, it took about 30 min. However the first time I tried to update the watch, it was 4, yes four hours, of looking like it was updating yet it was stuck. Anyhoo.... you may want to take this back to the developers before you do a mass release.

I agree with this.
Upgrading on the previous one (Fitbit OS 2.1.1) also took a long time, with several pitfalls.
